Why No Pro/MLG Playlist?

I’ve just started playing Halo 4 on my second account after months away from the game.

I’m glad Gritball is still there but what happened to the Slayer Pro or MLG playlist idea?

Did they scrap that?

I don’t think I’m all MLG pro or anything. I just thought it would of been a nice competitive change without all the perks and such that I don’t always want to play with.

If I remember rightly, when this game launched it had a non-Infinity Slayer game type but that soon vanished =(

Throwdown is the closest thing to a competitive skill based playlist.

Team Throwdown

Team Throwdown is the Halo 4 equivalent to the MLG playlist.

Hopefully they get unity or orange settings at some point.

What are “orange settings”?

> What are “orange settings”?

Light Rifles as a starting weapon, I believe.

Halo 4 did not get into the MLG circuit due to the -Yoink!- Gaming tourney they held a few months back.

Until the next circuit begins, there won’t be an MLG playlist. Team Throwdown will be the closest thing for it.

> What are “orange settings”?

A special type of setting THC was setting up using lightrifles and some interesting settings to make it a 4 shot kill without affecting the rest of the sandbox.

I think it’s been canceled while they work on the Unity settings though.

You’ve got Team Throwdown…isn’t that enough?

/sarcasm

MLG dropped Halo 4 from its circuit.

So much for “making Halo competitive” eh?

A Legendary Slayer playlist is supposed to be coming around the Spring/Summer time. You might get your wish then.

@Logic of Life They put CoD in…shows how competitive MLG is.

Oh, so Halo 4 is a sandbox shooter now.

No they didn’t. 343i sold the tournemant rights to -Yoink!- Gaming.

MLG can’t use halo 4 in it’s circuit because of that.

Sandbox is easier than saying “Without significantly changing how much damage the Grenades, Sniper, DMR, Assault Rifles, Rockets, Railgun, sticky det etc. do.”

I thought that Halo went with -Yoink!- Gaming?

Rather than MLG dropped Halo.

Besides who gives a -Yoink- about MLG?

MLG doesn’t support Halo anymore. Why would there be a playlist after MLG? As already mentioned, the closest thing you’ll find to it is Team Throwdown.
