It would have been more logical, seriously. The Brute Plasma Rifle has nothing to do with Reach. And a Plasma Repeater would have been easy to do, as it would mostly be a modified Storm Rifle with a very different appearance.
Same thing for the Needle Rifle. There’s a carbine already… So they could have gone beyond that, and change its skin dramatically and altering its functions a little bit.
Why include so many non-Reach stuff in a Reach update /sadface
Blood of Suban basically fills the role of the Needle Rifle.
The Blood of Suban is basically a Needle Rifle already.
Lets see…
Needle Rifle = Blood of Suban Carbine.
Plasma Repeater = We have the Storm Rifle and now the Plasma Rifle
So, yeah. We don’t need the Repeater or Needle Rifle.
That’s what I’m saying, read carefully.
Instead of doing the Brute Plasma Rifle, they should have put some effort in doing the Plasma Repeater (and then maybe later the plasma rifle and the Brute plasma rifle in a later update). So as to go from Storm, to Repeater, and then plasma rifles, gradually.
For the Needle Rifle, they also had a good base to work with (the carbine), though it could have worked a bit differently from the Blood of Suban.
Saying they couldn’t do the Plasma Repeater because there’s already a Storm Rifle, and they couldn’t do the Needle Rifle because there’s already the Blood of Suban, is like saying they couldn’t add the SPNKR or the Reach machine gun, because there are already a Pilum rocket launcher and a Halo 5-era machine gun… Lol, good logic.
And I suppose they can’t even add vehicle variants like the Hannibal Scorpion & Mantis, because after all we already have the base Scorpion and Mantis…
343 missed so many opportunities lately. (And I’m not even asking for the Falcon, which I ackowledge would have to be created from scratch. That’s why I say it’s easier to create a weapon if they can base it off of something which is already in the game)
