Why no more nameplates?

I cant get the odst nameplate for reach for some reason is it on waypoint cause cant find the option on bungie.net or waypoint. If not, plz update waypoint to have option

The reason you can’t get it is because it is no longer allowed accessible. Sorry but that window closed in 2011

Along with the Blue Flames helmet, they are gone when Bungie sold Halo to 343 and their website changed to Destiny content.

Since I see people posting stuff about the Eternal Armor Effect as well as nameplates here, let me help out with this thread here.

‘Copy and paste from previous Blue Flame thread’

The Eternal Armor effect was given out by Bungie as a parting gift to it’s loyal fans for Bungie Day 2011. The Eternal Armor Effect is associated with the Bungie nameplate, they are connected through coding. If you have the Bungie nameplate, you have ‘blue flames’. If not, then you don’t (Unless you utilized an ill-legit method, which the Banhammer will detect once you go online). When Bungie passed the rights and data to Halo to 343 Industries, they did not hand over the rights to the nameplate system for Halo: Reach. Because of this fact (As well as copyright reasons I’m sure), 343i cannot give out the Bungie nameplate that the Eternal Armor effect is attached to and because of that 343i cannot give out the Eternal Armor effect. Either you got it on 7/7/2011 or 7/8/2011, or you didn’t get it at all.

As for nameplates themselves, that was a function that Bungie never transfered over to 343i and eventually outright removed the page that allowed you to change them to make room for Destiny. Legitimately it is not possible to obtain new nameplates, or to change your pre-existing name plate. What you have is simply put what you have.

I have the blue flames. I wish Bungie still kept a website for their Halo games.

I went to go change mine today, but realized that option was taken away some time ago. Oh well, I guess ODST is cool…can still change emblem and colors though I think.

Well halos better then destiny I wish and hope that we could get the name plates back

Please don’t revive old topics thanks
