ok so i’m sure people have read about everthing thay can about this upcoming title. I love multiplayer to a degree but in all aspects why are they dropping firefight? i personally hope it might become a DLC or something because I religiously play thursday night firefight with my buddies and not having a firefight mode on halo at this point to me just makes it less interesting to some degree. I dont know maybe i’m the only one who feels this way but when multiplayer becomes a hassle when you end up in too many games of spawn and die firefight was always a good backup to just have some fun without problems or frustrations. just wondering if i’m alone or if someone whould start a pettion for them not to cut this mode out!

Because 343 wanted to make sure they didn’t just piss off people who have Multiplayer as their favorite. That wouldn’t be bad enough so they decided to piss off firefight players as well.
Firefight got absorbed by “Spartan Ops”. They’re making a story behind it and releasing 5 missions and some new cutscene/story stuff each week for a while. And I’m guessing at least 1 of the weekly missions will be the traditional “hold down this position while tons of enemies come in and try to kill you” type mission. So you’ll still have your firefight gameplay. And if you’re just looking to do some coop play with a few friends, the objective based missions could be a fun change of pace.
The only thing that could take FF’s place for me would be the ability to fight Spartan bots on multiplayer maps in Customs.

ive heard of this spartan ops but in all retrospect its not firefight and honestly they say theres a new enemy in the works with all new weapons and what not plus the covanant returns and with the post above i’d play vs spartan bots too that would be kinda cool to play against cause honestly theres no better thing then hitting some arcadefight and wasting everything in sight to relax from the day.
If you want Firefight go play ODST or Reach. Halo 4 is a new game!
My opinion is that firefight just got stale after ODST and from what we know I really believe Spartan ops will be a worthy replacement.
