Why no Halo Online forum?

Shouldn’t there be like a Halo Online forum. I know it is for Russian players but you’d think that it would still earn a place in the Waypoint website since it is a Halo game.

Probably because it’s in a bit of an odd place being a Russia-only game, and it’s kind of completely separated from the rest of the Halo games. Also, from my perspective, having a forum for a 100% (natively) non-English speaking population would probably be a huge problem in terms of moderation, because we don’t allow non-English discussion. In that kind of situation, it’s just more comfortable for all parties involved to separate that game from the others.

those numbers led me to a waypoint page about REQ points, not sure if intended but otherwise useful

It’s 117 to the 10th power. Or so Google tells me.

You could also sum up the digits.

I bet they have official forums set up by Saber Entertainment. But let’s be honest. Halo Waypoint even brought up halo online on a community update. And we all know that there a many Americans who are playing it. (Just go on youtube) With word of it getting a European beta release soon.

So I bet once it hits American shores. There will be a official thread here.

Now I’m curious how Microsoft is going to handle those Hackers who ripped Halo 3 engine out of the Halo Online Engine and about to release Halo 3 to the masses on PC for free. I bet the PR department is dropping bricks everywhere

I doubt any American or European PC player that actually cares about the Halo franchise will play Halo Online, unless they entirely ripped all of the microtransactions out but at that point they should just give us MCC or even just Halo 3 at that point, but they probably won’t so Eldewrito will satisfy most PC Halo players.

They didn’t rip the Halo 3 “Blam!” engine from the HO engine, Halo Online is just the Blam! 3 engine with -Yoink!- Bylat microtransactions, I think it was a dev build and was never intended to be released client side, it was actually sad how much they Frankenstein’d everything together until it was held together with bandaids, they removed features that were already in the game such as duel wielding even though they show it on the beta page.

They can’t really do much the Eldewrito project technically isn’t breaking DMCA as it doesn’t have any of the source code in the updater, ever since they accidentally packaged the executable in one release. I hope the Eldewrito Project flourishes showing Microsoft that there are fans desperate for a fun and competitive Halo experience without purchasing a gimped PC and Live subscription to do so.

All I know is if it does ever come west, please, please PLEASE get rid of all the micro-transaction BS.
