We have a,b,c, and d in upper and lower case but nothing else. This is a tease more than anything. I can’t wait until we can make our own decal signs though!
January update then? Hopefully, I didn’t go through all of the decals and I had assumed that it had a full alphabet. Well then I guess not.
The same reason we don’t have emblem editors akin to what similar games had a decade ago. 343 thinks the world will end if someone makes an image or word resembling male extremities or something of the like. Just goes to show the demographic they’re shooting for.
Hope the January update also makes us able to color them.

Still, it’s pretty hard for someone who isn’t great at Forge to just go in there and make something “inappropriate” in 5 seconds. It would be if they had a full alphabet, which is why I predict we’ll never have that. I wish they wouldn’t care so much about that nonsense but whatever.

While that’s undoubtedly the case, it still limits the number of named locations unless you start using multiple letters. And even that’s not an ideal solution.

Yeah, if they had the stupid idea to remove all but a few letters for us to use because they were afraid of someone making… something, then they should just get over it. I’ve seen plenty of games that give you great customization options and have many inappropriate things but the amount of cool stuff you can make with it overwhelms the bad things made by some naughty kids. What are they gonna do next, remove the ability to use a mic in a match?

Could be.
Still, being able to spell out “DECK” could be extremely useful, and I’m sure they went over that and its implications. It couldn’t have taken long at all to model a non-interactive alphabet, honestly. I’m not gonna complain too much since it’s not a big issue.

We don’t do the callout in game according to what is written on wall anyway so why would we do it with forge? We go by Red vs Blue spawn, we go by ‘‘tower’’ or ‘‘at sniper spawn’’
