I know ranked in general seems baron. Hell before Reach launched I legit could not find a single match with any playlist but H3 Team Slayer. Hopefully with Reach making new/returning players give MCC a shot again, more playlists will be populated.
That said, why no Lone Wolves playlist? There used to be one, and I loved it! But now there is no such thing. Why do we have 2 Halo 3 specific doubles playlists but not 1 FFA playlist? Iirc the current ranked offering was polled for, but by this point I think we can safely add one in, seeing as its already changed a bit from the poll results.
Poll the community on how they want it implemented! I personally would love a ranked playlist that features 2 Classic, 3, 4 and Reach all in one, but I’m sure other members only want the playlist to be for a single game.
Ranked H2c FFA and crossplay FFA have been asked for for well over a year and it’s fell on deaf ears, nothing, it would be nice if 343 would poll us again we’ve asked that too since a lot of things we’re asking for are being ignored. I wouldn’t hold your breath
Your calls for ranked FFA didn’t fall on deaf ears. They obviously know that people want more playlists for ranked and crossplay. The problem is that having a bunch of Playlists splits the community in ranked playlists more than it already is. Most people don’t take the time to play ranked other than a few games.
Also, they’ve already said they know that people want Crossplay and it’s something they’re wanting to look into in the future. This most likely won’t happen till after every title releases for PC since that’s the team’s main focus.

When Lone Wolves was a thing it was always populated. I have literally not been able to find a match in Halo 2 Hardcore for years, same with CE Doubles. Never had an issue with Halo 4 ranked or Lone Wolves, yet both playlists were removed.
I definitely just don’t think the audience for 6 player competitive FFA isn’t there.
Yeah, but which Halo game would the FFA playlist be for? If they make it a Halo 3 playlist, the HCE/H2 players would throw a fit. If they make it a Halo 2 playlist, the HCE/H3 players would throw a fit. If they make it a cross-game playlist, it would be a terrible experience because the Halo 3 players would quit every time a different game comes up in matchmaking(like we saw back when cross-game playlists were still a thing).
There’s a very good reason cross-game playlists were done away with a long time ago and any sort of cross-game matchmaking was turned into an “opt-in” sort of thing with the Match Composer.

I don’t think any of them would care that much, and if there is somehow a massive outcry, then that’s proof more FFA playlists need to be added in, so w/e.
All I’m sayin is that its dumb as hell for one of the only ranked playlists to actually be populated in the last 2 years of this game to be removed in favor of adding 2 Doubles playlists for Halo 3 that no one plays. Hell I remember when the big patch to fix MCC launched they removed the well populated Halo 4 Slayer ranked playlist in favor of a Halo 2 Anniversary playlist that I think maybe 3 total matches were played on before it was taken out.
Halo 4 has no love in Ranked too, which is another issue I see with it the current offering. I was never able to find a CE match, and could rarely ever find Halo 2 matches. But Halo 4? Never had issues, don’t understand why it was kicked out forever.
As much as I’d love it to just be a cross-game playlist, I guess leavers would ruin the fun, though as I’ve stated in another thread I feel like quitters in general just get away with far too much in MCC. Besides, now that match composer is out, if someone doesn’t wanna play games that aren’t Halo 3, they no longer have to. Yeah sure it isn’t ranked, but I think most folks who opt into that playlist would be well aware that its cross-game and they don’t need to be here if they aren’t interested.
The days of voting deciding the game which cause Halo 3 to be the only game played are gone. The days of loading cross-game and hoping RNG gives you the game you want are gone. You’re in total control now.
