As much as I like spartans I like having the option to choose to be another species in multiplayer. I think making it just spartans just wrecks the game in a way. Now thats just my opinion and a lot of others are on the same side as I am. I mean for example Bungie made reach so there wasnt much options of playing as an elite which really sucked to me because I really enjoy having elites as a playable character in multiplayer. 343 industries have done a great job so far with the graphics and all for halo 4 which really impressed me. The other day I saw an image of what the elites would look like and I thought they have done such a great job on the elites its unbelieveable so why not put them in the multiplayer. I mean it would only improve the game dramatically having that extra option of playing as an elite and players just love having more options for their characters. I hope 343 industries reads this and changes their minds about having elites in multiplayer matchmaking.

I think its for all multiplayer and I want them to make it with competitive multiplayer aswell just like Halo 3 best halo game yet and sorry to say but reach was a huge let down just because of how much i like elites as a full time playable character

It wouldn’t make sense cannon wise. The Infinity’s holo-deck trains Spartan IVs. Not Elites.

About 90% of Halo’s community couldn’t care less about “Cannon” mixed with multiplayer, it’s not necessary. And to make sense with “Cannon”, would it not make a lot more sense if Spartans were fighting Elites too? If you’re JUST fighting Spartans, you don’t really have as much beneficial tactics on your side.
As much as I’d like Elites in multiplayer, it just wouldn’t make sense in Halo 4. Since multiplayer takes place on the UNSC Infinity now, Elites are not around. They could be possibly playable for Custom Games, but not matchmaking.

i just watched the newest halo 4 follwer, he said that even though elites wont be playable, its been confirmed an entire new species is being introduced. So even though peoples favorite aliens wont be playable, something new might.

gotta admit that made me chuckle. lol anyways, sorry, thought it might be helpful for some people who like playing as the aliens.

We’ve know about a new unknown enemy for a very long time now. What the video was talking about that he got the info from was that a new enemy class will be introduced in Halo 4 (an example of a class is the Covenant). And he made the assumption that if there is something similar to Invasion in Halo 4, it will be the new enemy vs. Spartans. I highly doubt we will be able to play as anything other than spartans in MP MM.

That and Bungie and 343 seems to have an obsession with human-focused perspectives. Story and gameplay. It’s like how Bioware likes to write about the aliens more than the humans.
Though I do give them credit for at least trying the elite perspective in h2.
