why has 343 not made the custom map search work ??? why havent they just intergrated custom maps into the gametypes, i mean its not like you dont get to choose 1 out of 3 maps before you start anyway . why not make 1 out of those 3 be a custom map if someone in the party has a custom map loaded to file share automaticaly put up as a voting option. and please fix the manual file search…
They are trying to fix it atm. It’s a shame it doesn’t work, I hope too it will get fixed soon.

The problem is that Halo just gives you too many options you can break for serious multiplayer. That can either be put to misuse (by someone who just wants to make it a game of Tanks versus nothing) or could just suck (because most of what people build isn’t up to the standards of professional game design.)
Games that use custom servers (on the xbox) generally don’t have a lot of gametype options or more importantly the ability to create your own maps (ex. Rainbow Six Vegas and Section 8 Prejudice.) Or it put it another way, you can’t screw things up. You can, with Halo, so we’re stuck with matchmaking only.
