Judging by the descriptions for the rest of the halo maps we’re due, it doesnt seem as though we’ll be getting a covie themed map in halo 4. This is very surprising as every halo has had atleast 1 covenant themed map.
Why wouldnt halo 4 have any covenant themed map? Especially if multiplayer is a spartan simulation. Should new spartans know the layout of a covenant ship say they ever get captured or have to go rescue captured allies? Blow up a small carrier? I understand Forerunners are our main threat in halo 4 but thats no excuse to not be prepared for the covenant.
On a side note. Covenant themed maps have been a staple of halo and have hosted some of the best multiplayer matches. Midship especially.
We dont even get any covenant themed forge objects.
Before you say “Infinity wasnt prepared to fight the covenant” remember that spartan ops and War games take place 6 months after the events of Halo 4s campaign. Im sure thats enough time for the UNSC to make a covenant themed training ground.

Especially in the face of Wreckage (set on a Forerunner installation that shoots ships out of slipspace) and Harvest (pre-glassed?), areas not exactly likely to be battlegrounds. Yet no Covie map.
Didnt you hear? Halo 4 is all about the UNSC, AND NOTHING ELSE!
-More human vehicles than covie vehicles
-More human weapons than covie weapons (UNSC gets 2 precision rifles. Come on, 343!)
-The entire forge pallet is strictly UNSC pieces. Not even covie crates make a return.
-No elites in mm. Because spartans practicing killing on other spartans follows canon so well.
-Less covenant species than in any previous halo game since halo ce.
Spartan ops is the only thing that actually sheds a little more light on the covenant. Key word is “little”.
They were dabbling in Forerunner maps this time. I think they did this because they could get proper feedback and know what not to do next time.
Covenant maps might arrive in Halo 5, but I’ve got my fingers crossed for a map pack with them.
Well i think they are going for less covenant in halo 4 because its the start of a trilogy. Halo 4 in many ways is similar to halo CE. Start and end the game on a ship. Elites jackals hunters grunts being the only covies,
In halo 5 I predict the return of the brutes under Jul mdamas hand along side the didact. Along with that, the brutes will bring in their new weaponry like A spike rifle (theres your second covie percision weapon), brute plasma or storm rifle, and some new brute vehicles or returning favorites.
