We finally have a (semi) team slayer playlist, and since Legendary supposedly is classic gameplay, why do we need it to be Slayer Only?
Why not use:
Slayer
King of the Hill
Oddball (Remove throwing capabilities)
Assault (Mod the Grifball settings a little bit to make team based Assault, make ball detonation timer, and make the detonation deadly, and add disarm)
What’s disturbing is those are the only relatively unchanged gametypes in Halo 4, and Assualt is missing anyway.
i dunno, it is called Slayer but i get your point.
I was going to add CTF but they would have to get rid of the magic pistol and allow players to throw the flag. There is also a magic icon above the flag carrier that would have to go.
I just remembered its so much fun being sneaky with the flag.
If Legendary slayer turns out to be the classic playlist many of us are hoping it will be, then hopefully it’ll draw enough players in that in time we’ll see Legendary variants for the other gametypes.

Maybe i am missing something. But when exactly was it confirmed legendary slayer was slayer only? As far as i knew we havent had any information on LS since we first heard about it.
But more on topic if it was slayer only maybe they have the mentality of “Just you, your gun, and kills” kinda thing. It was probably also easier for them to balance a proper classic gametype with something as simple as slayer.

The only thing that actually is “Legendary” is Classic, so unless it’s not Classic, it’s not Legendary.

Sometime during Summer, but I have no idea where people are getting the impression it will represent ‘classic’ gameplay, it is meant to be a semi-competitive mix of Team Throwdown & Infinity Slayer, anything new from Infinity isn’t classic.
The playlist itself is meant to take advantage of the new weapon tuning and have it play different from the other playlists.

The playlist won’t resemble Classic in the slightest if it features perks like Mobility or personal loadouts in general.
