Why Multiplayer Achievements Are Terrible

Today I went back to MCC to achievement hunt, it is such a great game to do this in since it has so many. I’m not as much of a completionist as I once was, given work school and marriage. But in Halo I like to work at getting as many as possible, since I love the games and it gives great replay value. But it sucks when they add so many matchmade multiplayer ones because as the community knows the MCC had a faulty multiplayer at launch, and now no one plays it at all. So those hundreds of achievements will essentially be unattainable forever, hell the last three I need on the original Halo 3 are all free-for-all achievements, since I didn’t play that gametype. It just would make more sense to have them apply to custom games as well, not matchmade for when people want to get them after the servers have died.

I’m curious what you all think, or if you even care, they are just achievements after all.
