I don’t get these color layouts for the new warthogs. Aren’t we supposed to be at war or preparing for a war. They look like they are ready to go to Woodstock or something.
Because of this:
Gets in ONI Warthog turret
shoots
regular chain gun shoots
“Oh damn, all warthog colors are the same, thought this was an ONI”
cries
You guys brought it upon yourselves.
Now I’m just gonna go brood in the corner about how the art style of this franchise has been trampled on.
looks to Halo 3’s blend of cartoonish and military art style
Really guys?
Because it’s a simulation, is what bs you’ll get. Me, i don’t like it.
So the civilian Hog from Halo 2 is fine but the Rally Hog from Halo 5 isn’t? Seriously? consistency people.

How did we bring it on ourselves?

Who said that was OK?

You can easily tell a ONI hog from the others unless you are color blind.
Just because it’s a simulation doesn’t mean we have to drive around in clown cars. Too bad we can’t customize our vehicle skins as well.

What I’m trying to say is that not all warthogs can be the same color.
You could have guessed where this was going by the groovy weapon skins we got in prior updates.
You have to have a Rally Hog to go with the Pizza AR and French fry Magnum!

Halo 3 was fine, it had a good solid art style that left it’s mark on the series.
This is just a worthog with splashes of paint and text all over it.
There’s a difference, not saying though I’m against the new hog, but it is out of place.

Would probably help things if there weren’t a lot of colors already reserved by Warthogs which barely differ from each other in function. In fact some of them are literally the exact same in stats, just reskins. Corp, Arctic, Forest, -Yoink- like that.
Even then I think there’s a lot of potential colors and textures left before you hit the rock bottom of lime-green. What is next, hot pink? (Please don’t let it actually be hot pink…)

but why would you paint a race car in camo?

Why would you mount a giant machinegun on the back of a racecar?
Or, well, rely on such an non-aerodynamic design.

extreme sports.
“Extreme racing on New Carthage combines deadly wildlife, rugged terrain, heavy weapons, and insane driving skill. With class victories in both the New Carthage Sprint Series and 24 Hours of Quezon, AMG’s competition division routinely dominates the high-stakes world of interstellar motorsports. An advanced Warthog with heavy armor and greatly increased speed, The #550 Scuderia StarSpeed M-12R, operated by AMG’s most experienced factory team, is an exemplar of heavily modified Rally Warthogs homologated for racing series across multiple systems. Fitted with the latest hydrogen-burning turbines and ceramic applique armor, the Rally Warthog can handle environmental hazards that would leave even mil-spec vehicles as broken wrecks.”
The kind of “racing” going on there leads me to expect something that looks more like it’s ripped out of a Mad Max movie or Borderlands game than something from a Fruit Gushers packet.
