Why Locke's Character Was Great in Nightfall?

If it weren’t for Nightfall, I have to admit I might have not been interested with Locke’s character. Even though the movie didn’t really focus on Locke’s real past before O.N.I and how he joined O.N.I, it still showed how he is a remarkable leader. Showing how he is quite wise, but is cocky from time to time is what I was expecting to see. IT also shows us how he is a strong character and is willing to help his team. I also liked how he disliked how Randall-037 just left the Spartan II’s which I could say is something he would not like considering he wants to help people and didn’t even like UNSC because of how he felt they themselves couldn’t protect the colonies of the UEG.

Honestly I thought his character was pedestrian in Nightfall and Halo 5 really did not change that. I think he has potential and I really enjoyed Osiris in general but Locke still needs work. Nightfall felt cheap and really lazy compared to Forward Unto Dawn.

Eh I liked him. The only problem I had was that they didn’t have a scene in 5 that showed the reaction of the galaxy to his hunting the chief (for lack of a better term cos as much as there was hunting. Even he didn’t believe it warranted) where then he realises he’s an idiot or then his character develops.

Maybe they should have gone through Spartan IV training, & made “Nightfall” his first Spartan mission.
