As the title says. Why leave a ranked game? I get it, it’s oddball and it sucks or it’s CTF and it sucks but that doesn’t really mean you should just leave the game.
There need sto be some sort of negative to leaving a game or something to discourage people from leaving.

It’s challenges and the lack of game type selection. I have not installed Halo Infinite and won’t until there is a slayer only list.
Some don’t mind mixing it up, but it’s soul destroying to get five ctf matches on the bounce if you prefer slayer.
Players should not quit imo but I understand why some would.
It’s server connection too. Usually when I start rubber-banding I leave the game. Sick of being thrown in games with people on the other side of the world just because that is the quickest match or whatever.
I definitely agree. Not being able to select a certain mode or playlist is really annoying. Especially with the challenges the way they are. But even then challenges are not an excuse.
People are selfish and trying to pull there own agenda and ruining it for other people’s enjoyment 
I feel your pain and it’s completely understandable and the challenges and the playlist (that’s actually a problem) it’s just a excuse to justify a bad behavior from the players because even in the Slayer playlist the people quit this is just a common behavior that affects the experience the only real issue is when someone had connection problem so we should have a rejoin option.
Lots of reasons but you’d be surprised at how often it’s because of crashing/lagging out. Happens all the time to me.
If they lag out then there should definitely be a rejoin option in place. If you leave or lag out of a ranked queue you should definitely not be able to just requeue into an entirely different match…

Social games is fine. That’s whatever because a rank isn’t on the line. I shouldn’t be pushing Diamond ranks while having leavers every other match is all I’m really upset about.
Oh, so it’s fine to ruin peoples fun in social, because “it’s not ranked?” your still punished for leaving a social game so I think 343 disagrees.
its not fine to ruin other peoples fun. But the difference is that in social games you get fillers. In ranked it’s literally just whoever loads in and the people that leave don’t get refilled. Heck even in social games you get Spartan Bots.
Bot’s are hardly fillers. they suck they shoot extremly slow to avoid bloom and many other things that make them worthless in PVP. That’s still pretty much ‘ruin the fun’ for some people… IF i wanted to play against bots I’d play bot bootcamp.
I’m all for punishment either way but the reason I say social is fine is because the line is going to be drawn somewhere and people will complain more and play less if they get punished leaving social games as well as ranked. I want what will benefit both ranked players and social players of the community.
I personally hate how long oddball games can be but ive never left a match because of it, the possiblitly of it being 3 rounds just doesnt do it for me i would much rather it be a one and done type of deal
