I haven’t played a game since October 2010 when someone used it. It just takes up space for a loadout. Replace it with another ability and shake the game up a little. I think it would be a choice for the better.

I regularly use it all the time and confuse many players, including high level players and make people waste power weapon shots.
I was using it so effectively once that the other team all switched to Hologram, thinking it was that simple.
I’ve seen clips of people beasting with Hologram.
Most memorable to me was a clip of a full Hologram Red team in SWAT on Countdown, sending holos running back and forth across the exposed initial spawn. The real players alternately strafed, crossed from wall to wall, and fired across the gap, and the enemy team couldn’t tell the difference. The Blues got crushed.
Hologram is more useful than people give it credit for. You would be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t shot at a hologram.
I use it almost exclusively. Having an issue with an enemy sniper spawn killing you? Is an enemy camping a grav lift with a shotgun? Know someone is around the corner with a sword? Hologram can buy you the precious seconds you need and give you the advantage to make the kill.
And it’s hilarious to launch your hologram off of the top of Spire and watch enemy players follow it to their doom for no apparant reason.

Personally I think Hologram could use a bit more work to make it more believable. I don’t find people falling for it.
Aside from red reticule, nameplate, and red FOF tag on the MT, Hylebos over on B.net suggested being able to control where the Hologram looks when launched by pressing and holding the AA button to set where he’s going to travel but have him face the direction we are facing when the AA button is released.
Couple that with him moving in a crouch walk when released in a crouch walk and I would just about call it perfect.

I hope we can make the hologram sprint in H4.

Hologram is in SWAT?
Hologram is sweet, and very useful
I’ve used it before and it works especially when someone is sniping it distracts them long enough for me to know their location and take them out. It’s also been used on me before and it works so it’s not all useless.
