Why isn't waypoint being used?

For the past 2 weeks waypoint has been empty of any news, the last post was about Tenrai. Why are the responses to backlash and criticism coming through reddit and twitter instead of their own centralised platform? Have they accidentally locked themselves out?

It has always been that way unfortunately. It irritates me to no end that most of the feedback from 343 comes via 3rd party platforms.

Because there are more users on Reddit and Twitter. I can say that i see the same handful of users post regularly here. Not to say some people don’t just drop in and out but this is way more niche
Plus you can actually call people names and swear on there.

I don’t understand either why companies don’t use their OWN forums to inform people first, and instead prefer to make the announcments first on places like twitter and reddit… 343 isn’t the only one that does this another company that does this is PIrahna Games…

That doesn’t justify making announcments first on Reddit or other 3rd party platforms, when you could do it first on the owned platform and then copypaste it… To me this sounds like "We don’t care about our fans and we won’t promote our forums instead we will reach out on platforms that contain non-fans…

Sounds almost like another money grab scheme to me.

It’s surprising that there are halo fans that don’t know about halowaypoint and wouldn’t even think this is one place we’re the community comes to talk. I think with the way things are at the moment with everything heating up and being so close to the campaign release. I’m sure 343 will come back to us soon and by then we will be less angry because of how good the campaign is, hopefully

After seeing how Pirahna does it, I doubt it.

Not just on the forums though, the main news section has had nothing for the two weeks before campaign launch, its so strange
