I know this has been talked about before but c’mon 343, Reach needs a 4K update asap. It looks disgusting on Oled 4K TV. If you don’t want to include it in MCC then could you atleast contact Microsoft and ask the BC team to update the game? I mean H3 got 4K update when One X was launched over a year before the MCC 4K update. I just don’t understand why we have to endure playing this masterpiece at 30 fps and below 720P.
while id personally prefer it to just be added to MCC, id be fine with a patch. though the stutteryness of it on BC, i think just having in on MCC would smooth that out. I tried playing it and it was rather wonky trying to play it on legendary. though not impossible, just annoying AF
it is also one of my favorite halo games, right behind halo 2, so having it in glorious HDR 4k would be amazing to me!
Because Reach isn’t a 343 title. Halo: Reach was basically Bungiee’s last title for the series and seeing as Bungiee has since moved on to Destiny, then I doubt it would be getting some update/rehaul like that any time soon, if at all.

Ok, then why 343 released the MCC which includes Halo 1, 2, 3 in 4K HDR 60 FPS? They are all made by Bungie. Or why did the BC team update H3 to 4K before 343? Bungie doesn’t own Halo so Microsoft and 343 can do anything they want with any Halo game. Btw I am a bit glad that Bungie isn’t in charge of Halo anymore, seeing how Destiny turned out.
The BC team is in charge of enhancing games for X. They do it based on which games are popular or will become popular when an enhancement is announced. There’s no real business reason to enhance Reach at the moment, although there might be one soon considering all the requests for Reach in MCC and the announcement of Infinite.
That being said, it is pretty weird that Reach hasn’t received an enhancement yet considering both Gears 2 and 3 have been enhanced.
Side note, Destiny turned out the way it did because of Activision.
I remember playing Reach in HDR a while back, but I think it was just a temporary test being done by Microsoft as it only loaded in HDR a few times. I was in the Insider program when it happened and I think it was in July. No 4k though as far as I can remember. Maybe they’ve been working on enhancing it lately? I guess we’ll find out eventually.

I think enhancing BC Reach would drive its sales up a lot. There are lots of people who haven’t played it yet. And isn’t keeping Halo fans happy important too? I disagree with you about Destiny. Bungie chose Activision and from what I have researched they have control over Destiny not Activision.

Interesting. Let’s hope we get 4K patch soon!
