I’ve been wondering why osiris accepted their mission. Buck complained about it but that’s all we’ve seen. They were told to hunt someone seen as a near legend that they owe their existence to. How could they even consider hunting him knowing how much hate they would get and again possibly killing the one that saved them. Even if ONI threatened them would you?
These guys are professional soldiers and I guess orders are orders whether they believe in them or not.
Orders are orders.
You don’t get to go “uh, no” in the military.
Yeah like those on top said orders are orders but also Buck and Locke said that they are there because of the chief to know what happen or just to hunt a hero who knows, we’ll see in the campaign
Well, if Blue Team has gone rogue and is a supposed risk to humanity, people need to step up to stop them. Greater good and all that jazz.

If you watch the last RvB episode, its close to the story of chief, about being a machine or a human, following orders or doing the right things ( this last part is also related to team Osiris).

Still…he disobeyed a direct order no?

Would I? I’d tell ONI to piss off and hand in my resignation. I could not, in good conscience, follow an order such as taking the Chief back home in chains.
That said, being on the team that finds out WHY he went missing, that would be very tempting. Despite all the marketing and propaganda I doubt Osiris will fire first, even with their leader being an ONI hitman. Were I on said team in the mission and we encountered Blue Team, I’d switch and offer the Chief any assistance I could since I’d be fine putting my life in his hands rather than ONI’s.
Firstly they can’t refuse a lawful order unless they want to resign or be tried for insubordination, and tracking down rouge soldiers who are doing what could be seen as treason, is definitely a legal order, maybe some of them are willing to just deal with it. Secondly they have no way of knowing what exactly chief is doing, for all we know, Osiris’ mission is simply to find out why chief went AWOL, and then proceed based on that. Lastly, its entirely possible that some members of Osiris (My eyes are mainly trained on Vale and Tanaka because we don’t know as much about them) think along the lines of everyone’s favourite Captain tuned UEG senator, he who shall not be named on the forums on threat of poor connection, and believe that the IIs are unstable. I think that seeing as we don’t know much about the motives, orders or personalities or Osiris’ members, we can’t be to critical of what their doing.

I guess when you save humanity a few times over, you have the right to disobey at one or two direct order’s lol
