Why isn't Jun in Halo 5?

I think the title is pretty self explanatory. But really, I know he was part of the expanded universe recently and interacted with Buck. I haven’t looked to far into it past that however. Can anyone explain where he went?

Well, Bungie killed Jun after Reach, he was protecting Dr. Halsey.

343i brought him back, but after he recruited Buck into the Spartan IV’s… I know not what happens to him after.

Bungie never killed him. That was merely fan theory.

But yeah, he’s working as a recruiter/trainer. He doesn’t really have a point getting involved with a scenario like h5.

Didn’t know that. I just heard a lot about him dying to protect her and just assumed since the majority said so. I’ve only ever read the Ghost of Onyx.
