By default thats what “arena” is sadly.
Because the game is probably still matching similarity skilled players. It only lasts three days, so it doesn’t really matter.
The fact all arena playlists are ranked is no big deal to me. This means matches will be made with players somewhat near my skill.
DISCLAIMER: I am not advocating the ranking system is great. I think it’s good at best 
Because 343i/MS wants Halo to be just a competitive game. That is why Custom games have 30% less features of customization.
It’s stupid. I hate the ranking system and I miss socials. They need to bring them back. A large portion of Halo fans only played socials before Halo 5. I hope they fix this.

The fact that arena is ranked will actually help keep social players together in a social setting. Because it forces the Platinum and above players into the higher competitive ranks. This allows space for the bronze through gold players to have fun without the high skilled players coming in to mess things up.
