Why is Warzone Firefight still broken?

I was really hyped when Firefight was announced to be coming back to Halo, but when it launched it just came in as a pile of garbage. Enemies do WAY too much damage. Vehicles have no armor, and the armor they do have is practically made of paper. The round spawns are so absurdly unfair that I haven’t won a game of Warzone in literally 5 weeks. Why hasn’t 343i addressed any of these very apparent issues with how the game works? I refuse to believe this is how Warzone Firefight is supposed to play. Nobody should have to rely on RNG to determine if they win their match or not.

None of what you say relates to being “broken”. The community, well most it seemed, told 343 the beta for firefight was to easy so they toughened it up.

But 343i took it to the extreme since the Beta… they made it ludicrously hard to the point where you’re forced to use insanely powerful Req cards just to beat the Round 5 bosses. Even then you still have to rely on your teammates to do the same. That is inherently a broken system. 343i needs to get their -Yoink- together and -Yoinking!- fix this game-mode. Firefight not only needs a non-warzone variant… you know like the way the fans want, and the Warzone variant needs to have better time limits. I get it that bullet spongy bosses are a thing and we can’t ask 343i to just completely overhaul every aspect of the fights, but at least increase the time limit each time we kill one of the sub-bosses so we actually have a chance at winning. How is it fair that if there are 7 bosses (4 Legendary Knights for example) and 3 Warden Eternals (2 Legendary and one Mythic), have the Knights spawn in one end of the map, then have the Wardens spawn on the opposite side holed up in a UNSC base in the very back so Scorpions and Wraiths can’t get to them, and NOT increase the time limit? It’s going to take a good 2-3 minutes just to kill the Knights, but then to expect everyone to be able to destroy 3 (subjectively) overpowered bullet sponge bosses in 1-2 minutes? That’s just ridiculous. That’s why I say it’s broken. I haven’t won a game of Warzone Firefight in 4 weeks because of this -Yoink-. Nobody should be forced into buying Req packs just so they can beat a game-mode.

If you think that’s bad, try going against the two Legendary Wardens on Apex 7 on the coast. I’ve had about a million games where they just stun lock me over and over again, and leave their Incinerator Knights to mop up my teammates…

Answered your own question, there. They designed it so you need to call in heavy reqs to win, most likely so they could sell more req packs. I’m willing to bet the reasons you haven’t been winning are just because you’re getting stuck with low-level teammates who don’t have a big enough req collection, sadly.

It is really annoying. Whenever it happens to me, I just sit there and think “hey at least he’s not targeting anyone else, so I’m still doing my team a favor”

The same could be said about MCC.

Because 343 made it

5 weeks?? thats to much, dont play with randoms look for good teammates

ODST had the only firefight i enjoyed playing. reachs was ok but i only played it for commendations. halo 5s i dont enjoy playing at all

Its still broken. I guess the feedback thread was just for people to vent on the failure that is firefight.

Probably because it’s easier to not fix something then it is to fix it.

the reason it’s so broken it is because it’s only purpose is for you to blow through all of your reqs so you either have to buy or farm for more, regardless of what you do 343 is accomplishing their goal of either getting your money or artificially inflating their population.

It’s got it’s bugs.
The main problem is inconsistency and the ai using cheap shots(aka tracking or shooting at absurd ranges, and knowing where you are at all times.)
