Why is warzone firefight so hard all of a sudden

Since when did warzone get so hard? My team used to almost win every match, now lose more than win. Have lost in first round before, or beat one of 3 last bosses. And if it involves protecting a base, always a L!

Still seems the same for me, I play solo with randoms and haven’t lost a FF match in months.
Heroic FF mode that is.

I played a Heroic match the other day and we lost in round 1!
Objective was to kill a 100 grunts. we killed up to 52, and had about 3 minutes left, and no more grunts spawned. It was a a Grunt Strike.
so after running around the map for 3 minutes and shooting into empty air, we lost the game.

Me and my wife play Warzone Firefight on Heroic all the time and haven’t noticed an increase in difficulty.

You’re playing the harder difficulties so getting a win won’t be as easy if you’re playing with people who don’t know how to play.

This has been happening to me too!
Its very specific with one of the maps on Sangheilios. Can’t remember the name exactly.
Get majority of the way done and then they just don’t spawn and you’re forced into a loss.

Had issues on Stormbreak where Banshee Raiders have spawned in a wall and you can’t kill them too.

As for firefight being harder lately? Probably just bad luck with teammates. If no one is calling out REQS in the later rounds it can really halt your progress in a match

Sounds like someone in your match triggered the enemy spawn glitch. Happens when someone splatters an enemy at almost the exact same time as they spawn in. Doing that can cause the game to miscount how many enemies have been killed and in turn causes the next wave of enemies not to spawn in. If you rewatch the match, you’ll see this situation to be the case.

I dont recall seeing any vehicles. However, I know a lot of people wait at the top of the rocks map:Temple) and ground pound at the moment the enemies are spawning. And i usually try to toss a grenade at the spot where they are spawning. could either of this have caused the glitch?
This is the second time this will happen in that same Temple map. the 1st time was some time ago in Mythic round 2 - kill elites, and they stopped spawning halfway.

If any of you guys want to team up in FF definitely add me, I try to play a few matches every day.

Depends a lot on your team and the communication. If you know which are the rounds where the enemies can bug, you can tell them to don’t run over the enemies. Here’s a list I will do fast for you:

  • Prospect r1 grunts, don’t run over grunts. - prospect r2 elites, don’t run over - pros r2 soldiers, don’t run over - temple r1 grunts: dont do spawn kill, with nades o ground pound, this is the easiest to lost of all. - temple r 2 elites don’t run over - temple r2 soldiers don’t run overI’m not sure if there are more but that ones are the most common. There are defense round where the enemies bug too but in that rounds you can’t lost, you just need to wait for it to finish but you need to move because the game can quick you. That rounds bugged because you kill super fast enemies (defense temple, stormbreak core, prospect 2 cores…)
If you lost because your team can kill enemies, you need to practice more the spawns and good weapons for every match. For example, if you are playing in Darkstar, once the r1 finished you need to move to the base where is almost defense and 1 or 2 players need to use a ghost, so while you have people killing outside, the others are protecting inside, other strategies for defense rounds like that is to use one vehicle and put it on some door, so the enemies will be enter from the others doors and is a lot easier to kill them. For example, in round 1 defense Apex 7, that is a hard round, the man with the mongoose (the ones in the beach, there are two) put it in the door and enemies can’t enter there, so you need to tell your friends to don’t move it and the round is not too hard because the enemies just have 2 doors for enter and not 3.
Today I was playing with a friend and we two did 100k damage together, while the other 6 did about 30k them all. Is in my captures, we 2 had to use about 3 temple wraiths for save the match.

I’ve always hated defend rounds, especially those with promethean enemies. Whenever a defend round comes up in Mythic (especially when it’s the 2nd or 3rd rounds where we don’t have high enough REQ level) and the enemies are promethean, it almost always ends in loss.
with your strategy of blocking one or some of the doors is really ingenious for those rounds where you are defending an armoury.

yes is good, if you can use a level 1 warthog is better, but the most important is speak with the team. For example, if there are 2 bosses in round 2, tell your team to clean the round, so you can have more reqs (all of you) for the next round. There are some round where you can kill a lot of enemies before hit the bosses.

TBF heroic is insanely easy with average kills of over 100.

particularly when there are defend rounds.
If you have rounds of kill a boss, before you blink twice, the bosses are already dead, and the round is over.

I’m still new to H5 but Warzone FF doesn’t seem that difficult.

By and large, no, it’s not difficult at all. There are specific rounds on a couple maps, though, that are quite difficult to deal with.

I think the difficulty relates more to how your team works together or not and if they know what they’re doing.

one problem I have is playing FF and having two ghosts on round 1, because sometimes your team doesn’t have a KB (kinetic bolts) assault rifle, so you kinda have to rely on a chain gun, and hope the slow movement doesn’t kill you.

also, are you sure the enemies haven’t spawned somewhere else in the map, and no-one saw them, unlikely, i know, but it is possible. also, some rounds kinda spawn enemies in a pattern that sweeps the length of the map.

so do a bit of exploration when the well (of enemies) dries up, you might be surprised when you look in unexpected places.

I understand the logic of using the mongoose or even a scout warthog to block the door, but on Apex 7, it is generally not a great idea unless everyone is already in the armory and we all stay alive. On that round, we primarily respawn near red base, the base we initially spawned, so the street door is the fast way back into the armory. If the vehicle is placed there, we must then fight our way around the perimeter of the armory to one of the other doors just to get back in, which is not always easy due to the respawn points of the Prometheans and the paths to which they use to get into the armory. There have been times that I have respawned in the tunnel, but the majority of the time I respawn on the base side. When our team is losing the armory and need to get bodies into the armory, the placement of that vehicle on the street side is a major hindrance. Blocking the other two doors is somewhat better because one can clamber up to the top level of the armor without too much of a problem, so we can stop the progress bar of the Prometheans. If we all respawned just in the tunnel, blocking the street side would be okay, but I have died too many times trying to go around the armor perimeter to get back into it.

I see quite a lot of low ranks in heroic firefight. Maybe gamepass people trying out Halo. Everybody has to start somewhere so I’m not angry if 1-3 people don’t know what they’re doing.
