This is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen. Just makes people who actually want to talk during a game even harder . A lot of casual people are not going to know how to turn their mic on. It actually took me a couple minutes to figure it out. I know 343 will not look at this but come on 343…

Most people will never talk in game.
It was set to if right after I updated
Maybe there were complaints about “abusive behavior”, and 343i did the simplest fix possible… Which is what a lot of companies will do sadly, because it’s the easiest way to fix it. If they want to talk, they will just turn it back on is all!
I remember by default it was turned off at launch, maybe it reset after the update?
