Hopped on for a quickie, and am stuck waiting for a massive, slow, bogging down the entire towns Internet, and leaving me here angry update. Seriously? Can’t they just send it in smaller increments? I’d rather wait a minute before each log in than sit here for 45 staring at nothing getting mad. I can’t even cancel it to play another game. Am I getting something special? Doubt it. I haven’t paid for anything so why would I get something. There has to be a better way to do this…oh wait, there is.
I’d like to say that the updates don’t necessarily increase the size of the game, but rather replace other parts of it. My game is still at 29GB, despite the fact that I’m sure I’ve downloaded more than that.

That’s not what I’m saying. I just wanted to come on QUICKLY and play a campaign mission. I’ve downloaded the campaign already. I’ve update the campaign already. I’m sure they are not changing the campaign…so why do I have to sit here and wait. I should be able to play campaign and not wait for updates for online play when I’m not trying to play online. I don’t care about new stuff to buy, I just want to play the game.

You could set your xbox up to “always on” or whatever the name is and it should update while you are at work/school/sleeping.

It is. I’ve been trying to get tjat to work since xbox one was teleased. It just doesn’t work.

Dang. That sucks then bud. I had it set up initially but it was messing with my nat settings so I haven’t turned it back on since. I retract my solution. Lol.

Yeah it doesn’t work. It hasn’t worked for me ever.
The update is a massive balance patch, most of us couldn’t wait for it.

Thank you for clearing that up. I thought it added as well but this makes a bit more sense.
Not even 50 percent. So I guess no xbox today. Waste of time. Thanks anyway.
I keep my xbox always on, yet it didn’t update automatically. What a shame.
I’m wondering the same thing!
JLthestonewall gave me a point that maybe its replacing data, which is cool, I like that, but does that really excuse that this update is bigger than Halo Reach?

They actually did update the campaign. Fixed several bugs in missions, added new campaign related achievements, which require a new set of trackers, and so forth.
