Why is this not on the front page of the forums?

This forum post has exploded with replies, which is good. However, the person in charge of putting posts on the front page seems to be ignoring this one. Personally, I think it’s to not cause more controversy but it makes for good discussion and you’ll hear the opinion of many more people

It may be because the 6-man limit is only a trial.

I haven’t read the whole thing but people seemed to be getting “heated” in the latter pages as well.

Casual v Competitive, stat-flaming, etc.

you’re right about it being heated. There should just be a system that divides fireteams

As explained here, Featured topics are actually featured topics now. They are selected by 343 in order to promote discussion as opposed to having a handful of people spamming a topic into ‘popular’ status.

And I’ve read through that thread. “good discussion” isn’t being had. It’s an echo chamber, a walled garden and little more imo.

A brawl?

Thing is its not about how many posts a thread gets

like the thread about interactive pre made maps only had 3 replies when it got put in the featured topics.

Im surprised the thread about 6 man teams hasn’t been locked yet for being heated and repetitive.

Nevermind.:relaxed:

It appeared to me that there was a large “fight” between casual and comp players.

Let me think… stat-flaming, insult trading, and what I consider to be the virtual equivalent of -Yoink- size comparisons… I think small would be an understatement.

That’s been an issue for as long as I can remember. The only issue with it is that neither side seems willing to admit the other side has a right to exist and play the game the way they want to. Ideally, that is one of the reasons this update will be so great. The addition of proper social playlists will allow everyone to have their place to enjoy the game.

I disagree with this part, There have been several posters from both sides of the argument in that topic that have agreed that both sides can be made happy with a split of warzone playlists or better matchmaking that actually matches teams vs. teams. There are just a select few from both sides that seem to think the only way to play the game is their way.

I do agree that the thread has degenerated into mostly a bunch of bickering and nothing productive is happening though.

I was referring to the casual vs. competitive in general not that thread. Either way, the OP’s question has been answered and further discussion of the six man warzone can go in the thread he linked, ideally in a more civilized and polite manner.

My bad. I interpreted that it was just about that thread. But yes you do have a valid point that everyone seems to think that only their way to play a game, regardless of the game is the only way to play.

I do think developers have this issue as well though. I cant count how many times a game has been patched, because that’s not how the developer envisioned people playing.(Obviously this does not apply to game breaking things though. lol)

“Why X isn’t in the featured topics” isn’t really a discussion related to Halo 5.
