People still play MCC? I can’t ever find a match in that game.

BTB and team slayer are probably the only two playlist, but i haven’t played in a year so what do i know. sooooooo tempted to re-buy it thought.
i am not one of those “halo 5 isn’t halo” people, but they did miss the mark with this one. the evasive slide away from grenades and the pistol really killed the game for me, and i am a 91, so it’s not like i didn’t put in the hours
which SUCKS, because you can bet that halo 6 will have most of the same systems. so this is probably going to be my last halo game.
I like it for those days or times I wanna work for my win but yeah I agree while it has its moments it’s the least fun orientated Halo so far.
but let’s be honest Halo2 went down this road many years ago and we were only saved by Halo3’s Forge community taking over and giving us fun over competitive gametyoes.
Spartan Abilities =/= Armor Abilities… everyone has them, meaning it’s up to you to use them in a way that gives you the advantage over the enemy.
343 has taken the philosophy of no-radar competitive game modes in prior Halo games, and applied it to the default game settings. Your shorter radar range coupled with Sprint and the new movement abilities essentially makes the game play like a no-radar hardcore/MLG gametype, but you have a bit of assistance in situations where the enemy gets in close. It can still have its situational uses.
What does this mean though for the player? It makes the game more “movement centric” and it requires the player to look around, regularly check their lines of sight, be more aware of their surroundings and in many cases have a very low and precise reaction time. This is great for competitive play.
The solution… you just have to develop these skills man. The game plays a little faster, but in many ways, it still plays the same as old Halo. You can slow the pace down with a team that is skilled and set-up oriented. Call-out, assist your team… put shots in EVERYTHING that moves, no matter the situation. If you don’t get the kill, maybe your teammate will. Every kill is a 2 point swing, one more point for you, and one less point for the enemy. Move strategically with your team, make coordinated pushes, but slow down your pace when necessary… try not to get caught out by yourself.
There’s a certain Halo “intuition…” Predicting/knowing the enemy’s location, and knowing how to approach that situation to get the kill. This hasn’t changed…

yes, predicting/knowing your enemies location, just to have them boast out of the corner you threw the nade directly at them in. that is the issue. like i said halo 5, is still halo. but the boast system really killes the whole predicting thing. it’s unatural
everything you said, i am very aware of and understand your message

You ever use it? It’s a great way to be quick and aggressive…

I go back to mcc from time to time and play action sack, h2, h2a, and btb and rarely have trouble finding games. Just be sure to hard reset your Xbox before playing mcc.
im being honest here, halo is not fun if you are a social player that play with friends, or if you are a solo social player. The game is too copmetitive unlike halo 2 and 3 that had a good balance between social n ranked playlists.343 forgot that here

Please don’t use opinions as facts. It’s your opinion about MCC being better but you need not say it like it is a fact. You could have just said ‘MCC is good, try that one isntead’ or something.
Ugh… I can no longer have the feeling of fun anymore unless I’m in custom games. Never had I witness both teammates and opposing players talk in a obnoxious manner in a Halo game…
Why H5 is so frustrating for me isn’t so much the competitiveness or the lack of social play lists but the crazy servers or what not. First game I play runs smooth and hit detection is decent. Next game I play after that it performs horribly… Hit detection doesn’t exist and I get shot so far around corners I just laugh… I have no idea why… Some share this problem while others don’t… One thing I feel is this game just wasn’t ready for being on dedicated servers.
