Why Is This game Not On Steam ?

Hallo , i hav enotice that this game is been out TODAY! my question is wil be this game avaible on Steam In FuTURE? Beacuse i have al my games on steam .

It’s unlikely. Halo is owned by Microsoft, and therefore will stay exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms.

It was never said that it would be released on Steam. While I believe there might be a couple Halo games on Steam (correct me if I’m wrong), there are no main line Halo games on there.

But is there any way to make steam show whenever you play HW2? Add it as a non-steam game somehow.

you can add the game as a non-steam game, but its never going to be on steam becuase microsft is pushing their windows store as a viable platform for games and apps

Why is Call of Duty not on Blizzard desktop?
I have all my games on the Blizzard desktop app!
:stuck_out_tongue:

I am pretty sure its not on Steam due to that they made Xbox Play Anywhere and Halo Wars DE and 2 are on it.

Wondering this myself too. The games would sell so much more, compared to only having it on Windows Store, which in my opinion, and many others opinion, a very bad marketplace. I also find that there is a very low population for Halo on PC. Probably because it’s Windows 10/Windows Store Exclusive, on PC. Would be great of all OS could get access to Halo on PC. Or at least all versions of windows.

Generally i believe the idea is that microsoft games will make their way to steam eventually, like Quantum Break.

IIRC Quantum Break isnt xbox play anywhere so that probably does throw a wrench into it.

because Microsoft do no believe in steam, it doesn’t exist to them hehe xd

Because why would microsoft pay hosting fees to Steam when they own their own store. It would be like Tesco selling groceries out of an asda.

They want people to use the Xbox store or the Microsoft Store. It also probably makes it easier for the servers to communicate. such as when you buy a game on Xbox store they can easily access your account (Microsoft account) and all thats needed is to register that game to that account you purchased the game with
