If there’s a shield world and not a Halo? Could a Halo be in the game…?
I bet the title mislead you…

There may be a cameo of a Halo. But it’s like saying why is Halo: Wars a Halo game.
I highly doubt the Halos will be shown but they may well be mentioned.
EDIT: Ha! Well played with the title.
For a second you had me thinking this was another post going off on how this isnt anything like old Halo. I c what you did there!!!

As Bungie and 343i showed us, Halo is just a trademark. Its gameplay has (unfortunately) changed and it got pretty mainstream now with its differences from the first titles.
Well, there were Halo rings in CE, 2 and 3. There weren’t any rings in Wars, ODST or Reach, so if there isn’t a ring in Halo 4 there will be more Halo games without a Halo ring than with one. Seems reasonable.
Halo Reach.
Nuff said.
Halo Wars and ODST didn’t have a Halo ring. Neither do half the books, comics etc.
Halo is the name of the franchise, not just the ring.

Me too.
Probably not in this game. but I hope there is in 5 and 6, it would bring the tension up.
Because Shield World 2 sounds silly. (Shield World 1 would be Halo Wars, Ordinary planet would be Halo: Reach and African City would be ODST.
Forge world and tempest…?
It likely still has connections to the Array, especially considering this is a shield world. Though I don’t think there will be an actual Halo ring in this game. Perhaps in 5 or 6, but Halo 4’s setting is a shield world.

There WAS a Halo in Halo Reach. Complete the Campaign and you’ll see one

Chill, I was just joking
No, the reason it’s called Halo is because even if there isn’t a HALO in the campaign it’s still about the Halo array and the time line surrounding the rediscovery of the Halo Array.
(Now I feel smart hee hee)
It’s based in the universe of Halo and it probably ties questions towards the Halos. In the concept art we saw a torn up Halo.

He doesn’t really mean it. He just made a joke.
Well played OP, well played.
