Why is there STILL no vote option?

Seriously, why the frag is there no vote option?

The ability to vote is our democratic right as Halo players. It been our right since well before my parents said I was old enough to play online. We’ve picked our maps with pride, knowing that other players in other games were not so lucky. To vote is a privilege and a responsibility. (Don’t complain about the map if you didn’t vote!)

But now, for the first time, our liberties taken away.
As you all probably know, there is no vote in Halo 5: Guardians. You just randomly load up a game on a random map with a randomly selected game type, regardless of what you or anyone else in the lobby wants. Nobody gets to choose, and you probably won’t get what you want, unless you wanted to play the same map over and over again.

Seriously, why can’t we have a vote system?

  • It offers players choices, both of what game mode and of what map to play on. - It prevents stale gameplay. At the time of typing this, I have played CTF on Fathom three times in a row, (now four) which isn’t uncommon. - It increases player retention. You’re less likely to quit if you’re playing a game type you like on a map you enjoy. - It gives 343 Industries vital information about what the community likes. No need to hop on the forums to give your opinion, you give it every time you vote. - It gives me something to do in the menus, instead of aimlessly browsing my armor collection. If 343 Industries was listening, they would’ve implemented this feature a long time ago. Players have been giving feedback about this since the Beta.
So please 343 Industries, don’t make me keep playing CTF on Fathom. Make Halo great again. Bring back the vote system. Let us choose our maps, with liberty and justice for all.

Veto/ vote systems only result in players playing very few maps. The rotation system allows an equal chance for all maps to be played (and yes sometimes you will play the same map 5 times in a row.)

voting only results in the popular maps being picked which becomes stale and annoying/boring, Vetoing results in not playing a few bad ones which is good then 343 can take those bad ones out of mp map rotation like orion for example.
so moral of my story 343 put in a veto button.

Thats not even close to being true. Did you ever play Halo 3? People would veto The Pit very often for a different map that would have BR start… And if you are unaware The Pit was a fan favorite map.

People vote for different reasons. Some will vote for certain maps, others will vote for certain game variants.

Veto system should come back and it blows me away that people disagree with that.

Even if the veto / vote system only results in the same maps being played over and over, those few maps will be the maps players want to play over and over.
The rotation system is completely random, and robs players of choice. There is never anything wrong with choice.

A veto is a vote to not play that map.
Veto, vote, I don’t care what it is, I just need to choose.

At the same time to players who want to play new maps or un popular ones hate that most of the players can vote for which ever map they want, when on the other hand with what we have now, people complain of not being able to avoid bad maps.

Exactly this! I hated it when people would continually vote for Slayer BR on Lockdown, over and over and over again on MCC. I hated it when people would veto a map I liked in Halo 2. As you say, people tend to play the same maps over and over, and it just gets old.

The new system is much better, as I like all the maps and like them to rotate. This way we get to play them all.

Because I’d rather have a wide variety of maps and game modes, not just big team slayer every match because that’s all kids want to play.

Well boo hoo, you’re in the minority.
Why should you get what you want when there’s a majority who wants something else. And there’s not even a guarantee you’ll get what you want. It’s all random.
