Why is there still betrayal booting in Grifball!?

Seriously why? You fixed it after a month or so after the release of Grifball but for whatever reason 343 brings it back? It has no place in Grifball since everyone gets betrayals so easily. Especially when someone is about to score and you have two teammates and yourself swinging at one guy. I don’t understand why it’s still here, it makes me have to be cautious and careful in a fast pace and chaotic gamemode. Grifball is the one thing l actually like about Halo 5 and I’m really loosing my patience with this issue.

343i never removed the boot, they upped its threshold I do believe. Betrayal booting exists because griefers exist, sorry mate.

Unfortunately if they removed it, a rouge player would spam the gravity hammer on his teammates just for fun. which is worse? being careful not to hit your teammates or being killed constantly by your teammate?

Yeah it really should still be there. I don’t play a lot of griffball but I have had games where it was clear a team mate was trying to betray me.

Yes they did completely remove it at one point.

If you get a rogue player then simply kill them back. You hardly ever get people like that anyways.

Like you said, you don’t play a lot of Grifball. I do however. l have a lot of experience playing Grifball over the past five and a half years so l understand it more than others. It was perfect in Reach, it was good in Halo 4 and fine for a while in Halo 5. You hardly ever get teammates who do that and if you do it’s not the end of the world. Simply fight back if you must. Or just ignore them and try to finish the game. And if you’re sour at the end just block and report them. But like l said, it hardly happens. I rather have a small chance of having a bad teammate than have to nerf my own skill, play cautiously and risk losing just because l don’t want to get a betrayal and get booted.

Then you will have 2 teammates playing UFC with each other, while the other team scores and wins the match… at some point, there should be an option to end this mayhem “Boot Button”; I do understand accidents happen but they can also be avoided.

If they removed it completely I would play it just to betray teammates

Yeah accidents happen and can be avoided by not swinging your hammer at the ball carrier and just letting him score because you don’t want to hit a teammate and get booted. If Waypoint is really this obsessed with keeping the boot in Grifball it should at least be fixed. If someone is constantly team killing then the game should tell and give him the boot. But if l get an accidental betrayal and end up scoring and getting ten kills befor my betrayal, l shouldn’t get booted.
