Is it just me or are console game forums these days just full of people hell bent on harassing the developers with demands and complaints. Of all the game forums I’ve been to this one is by far the worst. You people attack 343 and declare the game a total sham and flop as if you really know what you are talking about (statistics prove you wrong at every turn). People here demand the classic Halo trilogy and say that anything since Halo 3 has just been shinier turds. Can they not see that Halo is evovling and that they can either evolve with the series or be left behind.
It is just like in nature people. You can either evolve with it or be left to die. You must find a place in the new world or perish so to speak. Halo is different than your precious Halo trilogy and no amount of begging, harassing, or complaining will earn you victory. Maybe 343 doesn’t answer these forums because they do not care to listen to the whining of fans who cannot move on from the past. Please just stop your whining and give 343 a chance it hasn’t been two weeks and you folks can do nothing but complain. I don’t think I have ever seen a P.C. game forum as childish and immature as console game forums.
TLDR: Grow up people and move on from the past and accept that Halo has changed, and honestly for the better. If it did not change and evolve over time it would be the same as COD in the sense that it never evolves or change.
yeh prity much, just dont come here . its a shame really. You want good positive or constructive debate go to the halo bungie.org forums. These forums right now are crazy. And i have to say it was just like this with halo 2-3 reach ect on the bungie forums back in the day.
People complain about everything. Ive seen people com,plaining that they used the word terrorist in h4 , that the maps are to big, and to small. its just never ending. Most people who are enjoying the game are playing it so those who arnt come here. Its a dumping ground for peoples anoyances that is all.
I’ve tried making constructive posts but they get swomped over in secends by complaining in secends.
I only come here when I am taking a break from Halo 4 (don’t want to burn myself out) or just don’t have they ability to get on and really do any matches like right now.
It would be nice to see some mercy for 343. Some of the complaining here is really petty and if I was 343 I would be ignoring the forums too. I feel bad for people like you who try to be constructive but get buried or flamed out in seconds. Lets just hope 343 doesn’t listen to these people.
Some people can’t be happy unless they are putting something down it seems.
The Halo 4 forum is pretty much toxic to anyone looking at it, so much anger and negativity over a game. I haven’t noticed much mod or bs angel activity since the release, I wouldn’t be surprised if 343 is mostly ignoring this forum because of that, at least until the hate dies down.

So you’re saying that it’s not the same as COD because it is the same as COD?
I love halo, and this game probably had the most moving story for me. However, the only thing they had to take from COD was <mark>sprint</mark>.
Instead, they took the entire cod disk and taped it to halo 4.
That’s not why the multiplay is so bad though. Its bad because every game someone chooses to troll on their teammates.(343 needs to realize that no friendly fire involves vehicles too)I want this game to be great, but their are so many little problems that this game has that they accumulate into one giant problem. there is NO skill based matchmaking. join in progress makes it worse. broken ordinance drops. trolls around every corner.
Halo never needed to evolve. bungie found it’s sweet spot in halo 3. Evolution killed halo.
There is lots of complaining because making people happy is a bad thing.
All bad jokes aside, I for one don’t understand the complaints people have on this forum. I really feel like most of the complaints are not real and that its just people wanting attention. Out of 1000 threads, maybe two are actually worth recognition and attention imo.
People are complaining because they’ve been making this game for some ~3 years and there are issues that are so bad it makes you seriously wonder who has been testing this game, if anyone, over that time-frame. You think it is acceptable that a game ships with maps that are riddled with wall-glitches? Are you kidding me? It took the population about 2 days to find out that you can jump into a wall on Complex…boy, those Complex Oddball games sure are fun: lets play who can glitch into the wall with the ball first. What else? Join in Progress is an absolute abomination. Why the **** does it throw you into a match that is ~5 kills away from completion? Why the **** does it START a game with uneven teams? I’ve had matches where the game STARTS with 4v3 situations!..but dont worry, halfway through the match the team with 4 players will get some added help…you know, when they’re down by 20 kills. Here’s an idea: dont let map voting begin until ALL PLAYERS are found. The File Share system in this game is completely broken. THE GAME SHIPPED WITH AN NONOPERATIONAL FILE SHARE. The Custom Game options are completely lacking. The Kill Cams are completely broken. Not only are they horribly inaccurate (to the point of them being useless), but I’ve heard from a game-tester that for some stupid reason the Kill Cam doesn’t work if the player that kills you dies. Ever wonder why sometimes you dont see a Kill Cam? Thats why: they are broken.
This is why a game like this needs an open-beta. Instead you get a cocky developer who thinks that the terri-bad gamers in their studio can properly test a game.
I agree that there are WAY too many straw-grasping complaints on here.
I disagree however that people should just conform to everything developers do. Feedback is how people make better products. That’s how it is with every profession, not just game development.
Anyways, yeah the forums are flooded with illegitimate complaints constantly. You I guess get used to it after awhile and just ignore or answer peoples’ complaints without sounding like an a-hole.
Oh, and lets not even bring up the “new and improved” Halo Waypoint. Good god, can you make a website ANY LESS user friendly? When I hop on because I want to see mine, or someone else’s profile, guess what? I dont want some flashy POS that takes me having to search around for 10 minutes just to find what my stats in ‘X’ gametype are. Last time I checked you cant even look at others’ stats in depth: it just gives you a totally crippled page that shows you next to nothing.

The DMR is one of the only legitimate complaints on here.
Not because it’s overpowered, but because now half the teams just take potshots at each from across the map. It basically turns it into Battlefield 3.

Okay, I realize that comment was a bit stupid now. The DMR does need some fine- tuning, but people are going way overboard with it. I’d rather 343 get rid of the weapon completely before implementing some of the ridiculous updates I’ve read on here.

would you rather have a halo rehash or a COD copy?
OP game sold 3.8 million copies in week 1. 2.3 million in the U.S. alone. every night the game has under 300,000 people playing so statistics says that the game isn’t performing well.
i would also want a halo rehash over a cod clone. theres a way to innovate without adopting COD gameplay and thats why halo 4 is a fail.

I would like to wholeheartedly disagree with you there.
Every other Halo game was a step backwards. Or at least sitting in the past. Many other games have had JIP for years.
I cannot count the amount of times I had teammates in Halo 3 and Halo Reach leave making the match some extremely unfair combination of players. I don’t care how good you are, it’d still be almost impossible to win a 2v8 when the majority of your team in BTB leaves.
