At the very least, Mk. VI should have been unlocked via completing the campaign. At the very least. I loved the campaign, however the multiplayer unlocks are both underwhelming, and demonstrative of the filthy monetization system in this game. I paid the same I have for every Halo game, for one campaign, with no firefight, no co-op, no mission select, and no forge, yet they couldn’t even be bothered to put in some actual armor sets to unlock. Find all the skulls? Nothing. Beat the campaign on legendary? Nothing. Find every audio log? Nothing. Assassinate every target, free every FOB, save every group of marines, destroy all propaganda towers, fully upgrade everything? Nothing.
There is no excuse for them to be this stingy, and yes, I will say it, the colour red for one armor core (unlock the colours for all cores, ffs) is not a sufficient reward. Not even close. Adding to the fact that they stripped content from the season pass, and well, I’m all sorts of disappointed and angered.
I shouldn’t feel like a second class player when I buy the season pass, or the campaign, but here I am, with these bottom of the barrel rewards.
