Topic is in the title people. Voting has been apart of multiplayer as long as I can remember being a H3 player… let me break it down
Halo 3 - you got a map and gametype and if you didn’t like it you pressed x to veto and you get a new map and maybe gametype depending on the playlist
Halo Reach - you got 3 maps to choose from as well as ‘none of the above’ (and you could change your vote !!!)
Halo 4 - you got 3 maps to choose from not sure if there was a option for none of the above but still you could vote!
Halo 5 - no voting you play what we want you to. if you don’t like it you can homescreen and quit halo to avoid getting banned! The ban makes no sense if you were forced into playing a gametype you didn’t want to play in the first place! You can aslo join a friend who is online and avoid having to restart but still you have to remove yourself from a formed lobby and leave your teammates alone, waste your time, and hope to god that the next time you match you get something you like with the single chance you have.
The same maps get played over and over again with a voting system in place. Everyone tends to stick to a favourite and that becomes what you spend a majority of your time playing on. I liked having the freedom to vote but I’m kind of glad the option was removed.
I hate being forced to play trash maps… Why do you think the good maps were voted more often than not? If I could I would veto torque and overgrown and stasis every time it would come up. I hate those maps with a passion. Voteing =playing the good maps over and over again filtering out the crap. No voteing= forced to play the garbage maps

This is really it. I can see why some people would like to be able to vote, but I think it’s better for everyone overall to have variety in the maps and gametypes. There were times—though not as much in Halo 3 which only allowed vetoing—where I got tired of playing the same map over and over again because the majority rules. People get pretty easily fixated on playing the same thing over and over again, and I think that overall it’s good to push them to play something else, even if they don’t agree with it.

Why support the horrible maps? Of they suck remove them don’t force us to play em. There’s a reason isolation was never voted for and was vetoed out every single time. the moment I see torque load up or overgrown… Some of the crap maps I am so close to dashboarding. The fact that we don’t even get a veto option like in halo 3… It acted as a filter and that was a good thing. I get the need for variety but the existing system gives the same map 3 times in a row sometimes and that’s what 343 is trying to avoid with no voteing
Because everyone would just vote for the same map, and if they can’t get the map they want, they will just dashboard
makes it more fair
I am glad there is no voting or veto. The way it is now is less time to game and more variety.

if by variety you mean getting swat dmrs over and over and over again then sure but I’m taking about voting that stops the poor mix up of games i can’t tell you how many times i play the exact same gametype and or map in a row. It’s annoying not being able to prevent it.

Your assuming that voting would change that. I can remember times in Reach I would get sword base consecutively because that’s how the vote turned out. If anything you probably would end up playing more game modes consecutively on vote because people will always gravitate toward a specific map/gametype combo.

5 dmr swat, 4 swat, 1 swat magnum, in your last ten. I would say that is a good mix of all you play is swat.

The fact that you ignore the fact that crap maps were avoided for a reason and are not avoidable in h5…

Swordbase was a good map I’d play the -Yoink- out of that over being spawn killed on truth any day. I don’t get why you wouldn’t want to play on good maps voting weeds out the crap and sometimes people vote for crap and you play crap but with voting 90% of the time the gametype and map was good. Now it’s about 50/50 crap/good

Sword base was crap. You see how we differ? At least with H5 is a healthy mix. All the maps are pretty fund and well designed for the most part and if they are not they are updated with different weapon layouts. Map preference is purely subjective. If you quit out because of map selection may the banhammer have mercy.
Because all voting/vetoing did was lead to the same maps being played over and over. I get a much better variety as it is now.

As long as the maps are good and not Spartan charge or AR spray friendly I’d be happy to play a variety of maps. I’d totally play a playlist with the best of community maps and h5 maps so every map would be good and crap filtered out. Variety of good maps is better than variety of some meh some good some bleh
Because everyone would vote same map over and over again

And that’s bad how? I don’t mind playing a map multiple times when it’s good for every game mode and iconic and tiny. Lockout BR never ever got boring it’s the perfect combo
I didn’t even notice I couldn’t vote on maps until yesterday

i do believe the cod:bo2 had a voting system that didnt allow the same map to be played over again, why not do a beta test with a new playlist that allows this to see what happens

Because voting was always a terrible idea. Look at MCC for example…there’s about 100 maps and because of the voting we only see maybe 3 of them constantly being voted most of the time. At least with cycled choices…all maps & game-types have a chance to turn up. Going to home-screen does NOT stop bans, I’m not sure who told you that lie so I highly recommend not listening to that person.
-_-
If you only want specific choice in games that only caters to what you want then you might as well play custom games only…anyone quitting games just because they didn’t get their choice every time…deserves the bans.
