Why is there no Underwater Maps? (UPDATED!!)

One like This from Halo 2 Campaign level “Regret”. (Notice how the whole temple is Underwater, and anyone remember the Underwater Elevator rides?).

So in Future Spartan Ops missions, or DLC Maps, or even in Halo 5’s Campaign. Please 343 either make an Underwater Level/Mission/Map. Or could you at least make a Forgeworld with a big deep Ocean/Lake/Sea and let us go underwater and build maps ourselves. That would be pretty cool.

UPDATE: Oh and speaking of water… 343i, would it be possible to make water customizable or interchangeable? Like could you ever make it possible for us to change the graphics/aesthetics of the water, the shininess of the water, the water effects, the physics, the ripple splash radius’s, the buoyancy of objects/vehicles/players.

And maybe let us have the option to add/remove Water current direction (Like have a 20ft long, 10ft wide, patch of water that flows in “X” direction). And allow us to control the speed that water flows, like have stagnant rivers or white water rapids, or any speed in between. And let us forge under water falls.

Thanks

UPDATE: I made a really quick Photoshop of what an underwater map COULD look like…

(Yes I know that the example sucks, but I JUST started using Adobe PS like 3 days ago so please bear with me)

Id enjoy it, make it seem like the oceanic armor was used by spartans

I dont think I have ever been playing Halo and thought to myself, “this whole thing would be better if it was underwater.”

Me neither, but now that someone said it… I like it

People would b*tch “They’re copying Bioshock and/or Gears of War 3 now!”

Well, looks like spartans can survive water now, they used to only be able to survive space.

They did that in Legend of Zelda, it isn’t always a great idea.

No thank you.

I don’t need ever more splitscreen lag, non-rendering textures and maps that are form over function.

You would think considering that they made the oceanic armor that they could have a underwater map it would be no different from the space maps all that much

Yes to this!!

response to Magic Spazm

Spartans have survived underwater since Ghosts of Onyx. Chapter 23, p203

They had then been redeployed off the coast of the Yucatán Peninsula for a swim. Covenant forces had been searching the sea floor for something… (continues)

Blue team had stopped both operations

I instantly thought of this when I unlocked Oceanic

What are you talking about? Everyone loved the water temple from Ocarina of Time!

I’m playing Skyward Sword right now and just dreading the water level… I know it’s coming eventually

That all depends if there are in fact functioning Forerunner structures underwater to explore and the purpose of them.

I know it’s off topic but Skyward Sword Water Temple is awesome. You actually have a proper swimming system.

Spartans and water go together about as well as oil and water…

With Spartan Ops apparently finally getting the creativity it needs, anything is possible.

Not nearly as bad as Ocarina of Time’s temple. The whip is pretty dang awesome too.

Also, the boss is the best in the game and the best boss in a long, long time. Tons of fun, lol it’s like you’re fighting a robotic Hindu god.

Also he takes forever to die. It took me 20 mins to take him on my 1st game through.

Anyways back on topic: Lets hope DLC maps has 1 of them.
