Why is there no player count in halo 5? Just curious looking for a legitimate answer.
Because nobody plays the game…
Well honestly ive heard nobody really cared about it so it was just dropped along the way. Others say it was to hide the actual population because of the low numbers. I myself would like to see it again. I always like seeing what people were playing on Halo.
Conspiracists will say it’s to hide dwindling numbers from the fans, optimists say by hiding it, it prevents players from polarizing into certain playlists due to population being higher. Maybe we will never know?
i guess under 10k
“What there’s only 3000 players in FFA? Guess I’m gonna play big team!”
-Many players mindsets. It’s better to hide the information.

its also just plain shady. im still going to avoid certain playlists if they take a long time to find a game.
I think it is so they get a more accurate playlist population count. If they show the numbers players who want to play a certain playlist may not play it and play something else which may have a higher count because they figure they will get faster match making. So by them getting more accurate numbers they can better build playlist based on them.
