Why is there no offline custome game options?

I’m currently not at home. I have no access to an Xbox. I hear there is no option to play Custom Games offline. Some of my fondest memories were trying to get Mythic Skulls in Halo 3 because I did not have a Gold account. Fix this, man; It’s just utterly disappointing.

And please fix the ranking system. I’m getting murdered by people that are clearly much, much better.

I’m short, it’s because 343 chose to focus heavily on frame rate at the expense of including split screen. And unlike the developers of Gears of War Ultimate Edition, 343 either couldn’t figure out, or chose not to pursue offline LAN play.
