I don’t mean to judge the way people play, I’m just curious why a majority of time people don’t focus on the object or primary target. Almost every time I get into a Warzone match, instead of concentrating on bosses or being conscious of our bases (when there under siege), everybody just ran strait into enemy fire (seemingly) blind and uncoordinated; it just seemed like there was zero focus on the bosses and bases, thus leaving all of the points and territories to the enemy team and It kinda frustrated me a bit. And the same goes to other gametypes like CTF or Strongholds, instead of focusing on the objective, everyone just runs around blindly. And once again, I’m not trying to judge/criticize the way people play, I too will often play like that and everyone is inclined to play in there own manor (unless they’re ######bag trolls), but there is a difference between playing freestyle and not being focused on the game or considerate of the objective at all.
Please post your thoughts on this bellow and do call me out if I am being over critical.
I used to think the some thing, until I realised there’s a relative method to the madness.
Usually, teams seem to rush blindly at the neutral base (ex. Temple on Sanctum), but from my personal experience, it is often whoever claims the neutral base that is victorious in the WZ match. And in WZ, whoever gains the higher REQ level tends to snowball, so kills are extremely valuable early on.
I don’t mind in BTB when I see players rushing blindly for kills, even if we’re playing CTF. The maps are so small, there’s really only one way to rotate. And I do see a suprising amount of teamwork (like a fleet of Mongeese trying to pick up the flag carrier).
Legitimate concerns. I won a lot of Warzone games because the other players weren’t focusing on bosses, leaving me open to call in a specific weapon to counter whatever just spawned in without having the other team breathing down my neck or stealing the kill. At least that’s the silver-lining as I see it.
(Note:my stats are zeroes because of a glitch. I can’t fix it)

I see your first point, but I feel like its because of the that method too many people concentrate to hard on that one objective it leaves all others wide open, thus giving the enemy team the opportunity to take those objectives and points for themselves. Your also right that kills are valuable, but is it strategic to focus on one base and making lets say 20 points from Spartan kills (also account for the Spartan you’ll likely lose) while the other team is claiming your base and killing the bosses on your side with ease?
I guess I also understand your second point, its just that for me a lot of the time there is almost no team work.

Same here; its always seem like victories usually result with the loosing team being completely decimated.
As for your note: is it in your game as well, or is just on Waypoint (because my stats are like that for Reach)?

It seems to be everywhere for Halo 5, but my other games are fine.

Shoot… can you not take that to someone to get it fixed or something like that?

Now that I think about it, that’s the problem, there are too many Bosses. Remember when there weren’t as many, and thus there was more of a balance of value between getting Bosses and killing Spartans. But with so many being installed it kinda creates a disadvantage by Boss Hunters.

The bosses represent objectives in a combat, and the reason Spartans exist is to accomplish their objectives, not just rack up the highest kill-count. (It doesn’t matter if you single-handedly took down 99 enemies in a fight, if one survivor escaped with the objective you were sent to retrieve).

If so, I haven’t found them. It would be nice to be able to show off that without even unlocking the Banshee myself, I hijacked enough Banshees to earn awards with them). But I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

Pretty much this, though my experience is slightly different. When I play, if the enemy team captures the middle point, my team is going to lose. Period. The other team takes the middle first? They’re going to win. If my team captures it first but then the other teams takes it, regardless of when, they’re going to win.

Then pretty much the same response when…

I have played three Warzone games today, all have ended as in my quote, and it is total bull####! At the moment, I feel like its not at all a judgmental/critical thing any more, its just complete nonsense!
Well winning isn’t that important to me. I am in wz to enjoy myself, it may consist of me spawning a gungoose and cruising around the map occasionally picking off a fool.
I think with this new game pass thing that Microsoft has that we may have a bit higher population of new players who are just checking out H5 and don’t really know how to play. The learning curve for H5 is pretty high, higher than most what to give credit, warzone isn’t something some one new to Halo can just dive into and play.

I can respect that.

BTB is the worst for this.
Teammates blatantly walking past the enemies flag and don’t bother picking it up before it gets returned.
Teammates walking casually past the ball in assault and just going for kills. Earlier today I played a match where the ball wasn’t picked up for 3 minutes from start.
Teammates worrying about their KD more than supporting you.
Teammates screaming past you in a WARTHOG while you’re carrying the flag on foot struggling to get to your base. (Makes me rage so hard).
People just don’t care about objective. I always find myself being the objective beach.
Such is life for timothy.
