why is there no blood in Halo 5

in all the beta videos I have seen no blood
I believe halo 5 should have blood and gore (like halo 4 disintegrations or amputations)
pls don’t give us a T game

I’m not certain of that claim OP.

I find it disturbing that blood and gore appeals to people. It just doesn’t feel right…

Like S 000 DeM said, I’m not certain of that either. Anyway, I’m sure that Halo isn’t going to bumped to a ‘T’ game. While blood does make a shooter more realistic, don’t overhaul it like some games. And I don’t want to see amputations. No loose limbs for me, please. Though if you’re hoping that a ‘M’ instead of a ‘T’ rating will generate less younglings on the field, take a peek at CoD and have your hopes crushed.

i don’t think halo should have visceral gore, but should definitely return the blood and general darker vibe that has only been portrayed in halo 1 and 2

I definitely think that the impact we are making on their armour and piercing through to the actual flesh should be visible, war wounds cracked armour etc, but losing limbs for halo maybe a concept to see how funny it could be in machinimas and custom games first before release haha.

I just want basic blood splatters like all halo games before, losing limbs wouldn’t feel like halo(unless its the flood because they are supposed to give off that 2spooky4me feel and you have to break them apart in the lore so they don’t come back)

Reach and odst seemed pretty dark to me (fighting on the losing side)

How was halo 3 not dark with humanity literally on the brink? How was Reach not the darkest game in the series? You literally hopelessly die at the end, and spent the whole game knowing you were most likely dead.

Compared to halo 2 where the covenant spent the whole game tripping over itself. They’re honestly a joke compared to halo 2’s trailer hype.

i’m just purely speaking from a gameplay perspective. the environments + the encounters + the background audio + the difficulty + the copious amounts of blood, grime, mist and dirt.

reach was quite tame in that regard. ODST was dark, though i feel that only new mombasa streets had the dark approach.

your perspective is from the story and immersion. halo 3 was very pristine even in the levels that were intended to be “dark” (cortana and floodgate), the others were clean and picturesque, reach was the same

If we are dealing with the Floodcursors I would be open to more gore in the game. It fits with the species and aesthetics they have. Broken Circle has a fair amount of gore (Exquisite Devotion is the biggest -Yoink- in Halo).

You want gore? Three words, my friend.

Anti-Flood Assassinations.

But seriously, I think the only reason we haven’t seen blood in the gameplay yet is because it’s an aesthetic thing that will be added in later. Like the fact that assassinations are currently using H4’s animations. Pretty sure it’ll be there later.

Well 343 are trying to make Halo a kid friendly franchise, by adding tons of crutches like sprint, ads and spartan abilities. So it’s hardly a surprise that blood isn’t in Halo 5.

By that logic, Bungie also did the same thing with Halo’s 1-3…

OT: Halo shouldn’t have GoW levels of gore. For the Flood?I would be fully supportive of it, They are basically zombies so… But for Spartans in Multiplayer? No. Some small blood splatters here and there, But nothing overly Gorey.

The Disintegration’s that Halo 4 brought in were pretty awesome. Gave the Forerunner weapons a bit of lore behind them, Which is always nice.

Oh come on, really?

I’d like destructive armor and blood, not necessarily gore.

I don’t want dismemberment, but I WOULD like Django Unchained blood splatters.

Me too.

Someone made a topic about how Spartans should start off pristine and then throughout the game; being shot etc. your armor should look damaged and even your visor could be cracked to some extent.

if theres no blood splatter in the beta (might be i didn’t check) its just because its not really important to gameplay and so will be added later.

There definitely, most definitely needs more blood. Cant count the numerous times I’ve spent playing Picasso in CE. Just repeatedly punching an elites’s corspe and painting the walls purple. It does seem to have been progressively toned down unfortunately

Aumputations isn’t really halo, to be honest. The blood splatter does feel halo like. Maybe implemented for infection, would make sense. You can already shoot limbs off flood in campaign.

Yes for more blood!!!
