I’m watching the RTX 343i panel and there is fall damage. WTF. This is annoying…

What’s wrong with fall damage, as long as it’s not crazy stupid like in Reach, some fall damage is fine.
Maybe I would be fine with fall damage if it didn’t freaking stop my movement when i land.

You can change the friggin options to remove it!
Jesus! What’s up with the Halo community who think their personal preference should be absolute with not even an option tweak to change it!
So people can’t jump from the top of the world down to the bottom without taking damage.

Because you’re human. Also, as far as we have seen it doesn’t slow you down when you take fall damage, unless if you can prove me wrong. But I think you should stop for a second when you hit the ground because you bend you knees when you hit the ground.
So you’ll think before traveling three stories in a blink of an eye?
Yes it’s back but whose to say the fall height needed to obtain fall damage couldn’t be raised we don’t know that bit of information because he fell for quite some time before hitting the ground. Plus you didn’t see it in the multiplayer vids with the MLG players so that only means it’s been raised.

Agreed, I personally have no problem with fall damage, in Reach, it was annoying, because the high needed to get fall damage/death was so short. Yes I know a lot of people like the Halo 2/3 jump off the top of the map with out any damage, and run around like a god, but that really makes all of the nice little walk ways and what not kind of pointless.

Actually, it was in the MLG gameplay videos, or at least this one anyways.
This is halo not cod I don’t want fall damage affecting my game play so if anyone thinks that there should be fall damage I will shoot you and burn every copy of halo 4
Why not? Fall damage is great! It prevent players from escaping death. Being able to escape from a burning Banshee without punishment is not a good thing.
For those of you who think falling damage wasn’t in Halo 2 or Halo 3, I’d like you to play on The Covenant in Halo 3, get to the part where you have to cross the bridge into the citidel where Arbiter kills the Prophet of Truth, and jump off towards the ground. You can plainly see that you take falling damage since the fall depletes almost half of your shields. So that proves that it was at least in Halo 3, but it was a very toned down version, which is what I believe we might get for fall damage in Halo 4, except beefed up a little to where it isn’t practically not there like in Halo 3, but also to where it isn’t extremely noticable, like in Reach.
I remember having this discussion before Reach came out. I’m not a fan of fall damage either. With the amount of damage a Spartan can take terminal velocity in Earth like atmosphere and gravity shouldn’t kill them. I don’t mind a little damage or even completely taking away your shields but not death. Less fall damage just adds to the dimensions of a map.

I think there should be fall damage, but then again if they want to keep this so it fits cannon maybe none you know, falling from a corvette over Reach and still surviving…
