Why is there Bloom in CEA

They said there would be Classic gameplay.Every playlist has Bloom???

There isn’t bloom, the reticle expands to show you that you can’t fire again until it’s settled, it is used as a visual timer for shots

Yeah, no.

In Anniv. Slayer, if you fire the Magnum as fast as it can be fired (which is about the CE speed,) there is bloom. And it pisses me off.

There is bloom in EVERY Halo game, only reach shows you that it is happening.

No. You’re wrong. The rate at which you fire has had absolutely no effect in any of the halo games except for Reach. The Halo CE pistol is pinpoint accurate at far range while firing at the max ROF without holding down the trigger, the Halo 2 BR is hitscan, and the Halo 3 BR has a ton of spread. Spread != bloom.

You are completely wrong. Every full auto weapon has had bullet spread and the CE pistol lost all accuracy after 3 shots. Bloom is just the visual representation of bullet spread.

There should be no spread at all. All shots should fire within the reticle, and the reticle should not move. Instead of bloom, add recoil if anything. Less random and it is predictable.

I agree, remove bloom completely. CEA needs to be like ZB SLAYER from the TU, but with no AA’s. I actually prefer the 4sk pistol, but I know you guys liuke 3. So just do that.

Please 343. Just have one actual classic playlist that has the settings I described. We would really like it.

Zero Bloom completely breaks the game. The CE pistol has always lost accuracy after 3 shots.

No, I’m not wrong, I tested the CE pistol last night. There is no bloom, and there is no spread unless you hold down the trigger. It is pinpoint accurate while firing at the maximum rate of fire without holding down the trigger, and when you do hold down the trigger there’s only a minimal spread. Spread and bloom are 2 different things.

No bloom.
No spread.
No recoil.
Put it where you want it.

That’s how it Halo should be.

There was always bloom for every Halo there was. For example the Halo 1 pistol. I can just press the trigger and its always straight shot at the target. But IF I was to hold down the trigger button, the bullets go all over the place, and that is a fact.

343 completly screwed up trying to replicate the ce magnum. It feels NOTHING like the orignal magnum. 343 feels so proud that they gave the magnum the feature so that if you held down the trigger you will lose accuracy. But heres the thing 343. NO ONE DID THAT. You were a person if you held down the triger. how about you actuall actually like… you know… disable the bloom and up the rate of fire to replicate the magnum hmmmmmm? You know the way it was meant to be. Its just a thought.

How bout you act more mature about the whole subject and be greatful on what you were given instead of bashing on like a mere child. We are givin a rather powerful pistol like that of Halo 1 and you should make more effective use of it.

ZB slayer is a must I secind agree

Ugh, bloom is not the same as bullet spread. You’re honestly going to sit there and say that bloom, which at full expansion makes bullets go outside the original reticle, is the same as bullet spread?

But on topic, yeah, it’s kind of stupid that the new playlists have bloom. Bloom should be left with the old Reach playlists, along with the TU changes like bleedthrough and balancing. The new playlists are meant to play like older Halo’s, and older Halo’s did not have bloom. End of story.

stop spamming. n00b.

To all you people saying bloom has been in every Halo game, please stop.

Stop.

Bloom on the CE Pistol existed, yes. But it was so minor it literally wouldn’t even have any effect from one end of Blood Gulch to the other, unless you held down the trigger. AND NOBODY HELD DOWN THE TRIGGER, because you could fire semi-auto at the exact same fire rate, without losing accuracy. So stop.

Bloom on the precision utility weapon is not classic. H3 had bullet spread and this is totally different to bloom, which has only ever existed in Reach on the main utility weapon.

It’s the classic playlist. I don’t care if it’s broken or unbalanced or whatever buzzword you guys want to throw around - it was unbalanced in CE as well. But if the whole point of the classic playlist is to recreate CE, it SHOULD have the same unbalances. Those unbalances were fun for good players.

Remove the bloom 343. It’s rubbish. Leave it in regular Reach, so that those who like it can enjoy it, that’s fine by me. But why is it in the CE playlist?

AHEM smg.

It would be very safe to assume he was talking about the game’s main utility weapon.

Which, btw, was NOT the SMG.

Because having no recoil makes the bullets strong.
