Why is there an insta-kill ceiling in forge???

Seriously.

Who thought that was a good idea?

Not only is the ceiling low, but it’s invisible, there’s no warning that you’re approaching it and then you explode.

There’s absolutely no need for it. It’s Forge.

Didn’t it occur to anyone that people making maps might like to be able to get an aerial plan view of the whole map. So they can, you know… plan stuff?

They have never allowed us to go full scale view of forge maps. Would be great if they did or allowed for a screen like option so we can see how it looks. Just like they show maps in the websites or books,all views from way up

I get that there has to be a ceiling. Although it’s ridiculously low.

But WHY make it kill the map maker? And without any visual warning to boot…

Did someone stroke out at that design team meeting?

The whole “build area” is small in my opinion. Seen people say that its bigger than Reach’ forge but I dunno, Reach Forge’ build area was huge, maybe it’s just been a long time I dunno.

Regarding Reach and forgeworld. Alot of what Bungie made was unused space. All that water you couldn’t do anything with except build over it. There were only so many limited areas to actually build on for a decent map. It took up alot of resources having to still produce the assists for the rest of the world even if you aren’t in the area. With the smaller pallets we have now, give us more of a variety when building.

Regarding the sky box killzone its quite odd they don’t have visual markers for it like they have for the rest of the map. I haven’t used forge yet so I don’t know exactly what they look like only from the images 343 had shown.
