Why is the Title Update not in all Playlists?

When I do play Halo these days, all I can really stand to play is Anniversary. I always vote for Anniversary gametypes, but sometimes I’m forced to play standard Reach. However, the more I played it, the more I came to realize that while bloom and AAs are still annoying, the Title Updated settings make the game much more playable and enjoyable.

So my question is…Why the hell haven’t these settings been applied to the rest of Matchmaking? They make the game faster, more balanced, and much much much more fun to play.

Don’t get me wrong, the Anniversary playlists are wonderful, but why can’t I jump into Team Slayer with my girlfriend and not be forced to play an outdated, crappy version of Reach, when I know there is a better, more updated and fun varient out there?

What’s Reach?

> What’s Reach?

Un-updated Default Reach. Basically, the Reach that everyone complains about that drove thousands of fans away.

Answer- It’s a Beta! They won’t put TU into all gametypes until THEY want to.

What’s lolTUReach?

WHY ISNT THERE A FFA TU BETA

Because 343 doesn’t want to fragment the Halo population, duh.

Oh wait…

How is it you forgot the part where we were told by 343i that universally loved changes would be implemented as such?

Since ZB is far from universally loved, it gets MLG and “other” love.
Since bleed-through and sword block are not universally loved, they remain Classic/Anniversary options.

That you feel things are more fun with TU changes is great.
That they’re balanced, well as all things, with the tweaking of the sandbox, yes, other balanced game-types can be made.

I think they were not as loved because, bad players were getting destroyed and blamed the settings as the fault of them getting rolled in the TU playlist.

When you take your opinion and attempt to convey that your opinion speaks for an entire population, you’re not going to be taken seriously.

A vocal minority does not equate to “everyone”.

Besides, CE has bloom.

Everyone I know used to play Halo 3.

Everyone I know doesn’t play Reach.

They were all Halo fans.

Gee I wonder where I could have gotten all my information.

No, everyone I know liked playing Halo. Reach doesn’t play like a Halo game does. It plays like some kind of abomination hybrid of Halo and a very bad class-based game. My friends played Reach for about a month, realized it was crap, and moved on.

It’s too bad you have to purchase Anniversary to play a real Halo game again.

I’m stuck playing CEA lists/maps until the rest follows suit. Would love to play Premium Battle, but I’m not touching it till it get updated to 1.1.

I agree Reach sucks Armorlock is overpowerd and bloom needs to be reduced and the option of ZB needs to be there

Some people like the old gameplay. I certainly do. I like having the option to play both pre- and post-TU.

The only reason I can think of that anyone would want to play the old-style is to exploit its shortcomings. The TU improves it in every way, and fixes many annoying problems.

Suprisingly having no bloom and some AA nerfs did not make tens of thousands of fans come running back, it also did not drive them away, go figure.

Not everyone will want to play NewReach.

Although the Armor Lock and Sword Block updates should be applied universally.

Some people prefer the older settings.

If I, for example, have to choose between random bloom, sandbox-breaking zero-bloom, and worst-of-both-worlds 85%, I’ll cut my losses and take bloom. There are many others who similarly dislike specific notable TU/Anniversary changes – many players hate the three-shot-kill Magnum, for example, and others disagree with the changes to Camo.

One could argue that the TU/Anniversary changes could be globalized and the “Reach” fans could be shoved into Customs. There’s a problem with that as well, though: bugfixes and new features for gametypes are tied to the specific variants. If the TU/Annie changes are globalized, it will be impossible for those who prefer vanilla Reach to get updated gametypes from then on (since the updates would always be paired with the TU/Annie changes).

I consider these two to be exceptions to all that I’ve just typed.
