Why is the sound in this game still absolute trash?

Spartans running with feather shoes and bullets don’t make sounds. COOL.

Yep and you cannot hear those footsteps until after they kill you and run by you. Cannot tell you how many times I DO NOT hear someone behind me or Vehicles for that matter. It’s sad that once you get some serious hours into this game you start to really notice how unfinished and incomplete some of the core elements like this are. Explosions, Sounds, Animations, UI, MM, Etc… So many core elements that are broken or are just not there entirely.

I see many people having this issue, but I don’t believe I ever experience this in game myself…

It’s so weird…

Sorry I guess I should try to be more constructive. If it helps, I am on PC. Logitech’s 7.1 drivers do not work (I have a G935) I also have a Corsair ST100 with 7.1 Surround that also does not work. By does not work, I mean that everything except anything in front of you sounds like you are underwater.

I’ve also tried the bandaid fix where you disable your sound’s driver and go to basic generic stereo driver but it’s ridiculous that people have to go through backward ways to get BASIC SOUNDS.

I caved in and got Dolby Atmos from the MS Store and it is not any better so but thanks MS for getting 15 bucks from me.

And with that out of the way, the sound in this “game” is pure trash, thanks for tuning in.

This game has the best gunshots in the series, but the rest of the sound is rubbish and has little to do with the equipme.
Yesterday I played some MCC Reach games and the sound effects way better than Infinite.
This is purely their adjustment for HCS.

Don’t forget that Halo Reach on MCC had a severe sound glitch for at least a year before it was fixed.

I had this issue then it fixed itself. Now I’m worried I’m going to be banned for wall hacking because I can hear exactly where they are behind a wall and literally track them ready to start shooting. If someone clips without sound then it looks sus :worried:

The sound and feedback in general is inconsistent.
Today I was playing swat and in one situation I knew an enemy was nearby. I posted up and watched a door way, and dialed my ears to 11 because I knew coming up behind me was a good chance. I ended up getting back smacked a few seconds later by a sprinting enemy. There was literally no audio feedback/warning. :rage:

Right? Can’t hear a thousand pound spartan running around in a dead sprint. Makes total sense.
