As an avid halo fan i really ejoy playing Halo 4. But as we roll into the holiday season I have noticed that the game is slowly dying. I am quite concerned because I really like this game. Can someone tell me why the playerbase has dropped? Does anythink the player-base will grow after X-MAS? I have heard rumors that 343i will be implementing a ranked playlist and other changes in early 2013? Is this true, if so does anyone think that this will strengthen the player-base?

It’s not dying, a game rarely has more active users than during it’s first few weeks after release(when the sales figures peak). Then players start to drift off. It’s no biggy and certainly not something 343 can do anything about. It’s the natural way of things. This ain’t world of warcraft you know… you can’t expect every game to keep growing constantly. Probably the active playerbase will get small boost around Xmas when the gifts have been unwrapped. Probably plenty of kids put the game on the wishlist.
So, don’t worry. The game wont suddenly dissapear.
