Why is the juggernaut gametype STILL broken?

Juggernaut.
It’s been broken since day one. We still can’t change the juggernaut’s weapons, or armor abilities, or let him pick up weapons, or give him grenades. Why has no one fixed this yet?

It was asked to Bungie’s Playlist guy called Jeremiah a while back if something like this could be edited by Megalo, the gametype editor for Reach, he said yes, however, they would need a new variant everytime they wanted the Juggernaut to have a new weapon.

It’s too much effort to make a gametype for every weapon & armour abilities.

You can achieve something like what you’re proposing with king of the hill.

Set a pick up item that isn’t a grenade to be the hill in forge, give it a shape, and suddenly picking up that weapon or AA means you control the hill. Set controlling the hill to give juggernaut like stats and there you go.

what playlist is it in? Rumble?

yes. It almost never comes up though. So that’s good at least.

I suppose its good for rumble. Seems like it would fit in action sack too.

Reach’s playlist configuration doesn’t allow FFA gametypes to show up in Team Playlists.

This guy is right, but I never though of doing that in place of juggernaut. Pretty smart! Would scoring still work? Can yous set it so that only kills inside the hill count as points?

It’s still disgraceful that Juggernaut was broken when they shipped it, however.

Pretty certain its has to be time based, which can make it into a chase the juggernaut king of the hill, but if you’re playing with friends house rules should be enough to keep things honest. I haven’t played with it too much.

On a side not, you can do similar things with flag capture points. I created a map where each teams flag capture and spawn point was a warthog. Like a mobile base.
