Why is the Hydra Nerfed?

Yeah well more often than not game developers focus on pro-play over social-play.

No, the hydra in Halo 5 was easy to break the tracking with side stepping and thrusting, it just came down to spotting it and timing it.

It also took 2 shots to kill with tracking, without tracking up to 3 shots to kill, If you can land the shots in Halo 5 VS in Halo Infinite it takes 3 - 4 to kill with tracking and the who round to kill without tracking if you can land the shots.

Speed in Halo 5 & Infinite have nothing to do with it, Same goes for Halo Infinite, Speed has nothing to do with it. In Halo Infinite, the Hydra breaks its own tracking like after 3 seconds, almost like it gives up.

The Plasma pistol is more effective and useful the the Hydra in Halo Infinite.

Ok you just played yourself. Congratulations.

I’ve never been a good shot at range, so the Hydra was a good weapon for me . Oh well, I guess I’ll need to improve my aiming…

You clearly don’t know how to use it right. The Hydra has a heathy amount of reserve ammo and gets kills very quickly. Think of it like a heavy rifle without a scope that you have to lead your shots on and you’re golden. It’s easily one of my absolute most favorite pickups and very, very powerful.

Yes, the reload does take a second but, that should tell you how to use this weapon. It’s not a power weapon.

I don’t think y’all really understand yet that unless it’s on a pad, it isn’t a power weapon, just flat out. If it’s on a rack, it’s a pickup weapon and that means it’s GENERALLY better than your loadout weapon. Check the TTKs on rack guns, they’re almost always faster than your loadout guns.
