I’m actually really annoyed…got the limited edition so I could play at midnight and now I’ve got this -Yoink- update that’s taking forever. Only on 30% and it’s been downloading since around 15:00 - 17:00. Anyone know why it’s taking so long. And will it speed up once the game goes live? I’m gonna be really upset if I can’t play at midnight.
I’m 7.5 hours in… and currently at 38%. It’s not looking good for us guardian! Especially given that it’ll probably slow down before it speeds up.
Why didn’t we start it yesterday?!
It took me 3 hours exactly. Remember it relies fully on your connection
started mine earlier during lunch eastern time and took about 4-5 hours to complete, not too bad…
The two main factors are the size of the download and also the speed of your internet.
Took me less than a hour, should’ve downloaded it early if you had the chance
It’s a 60gig package, it should take some time.
Damn i’m glad i’ve got 1GB/ps internet speeds at home then, sorry to hear it’s taking so long for you guys, but yeah it all relies on your internet speed on how long it’ll download
Could be your internet speed, or maybe something else hogging your bandwidth
It’s more their servers getting crushed than your internet speed (also a factor though). Look at your bandwidth usage on your system (Settings->Bandwidth Usage). It’ll display your usage by hour. Mine was doing 3-4GB/hour up until 5-6pm eastern, then plummeted to 610MB per hour, and I’m on 50mbps.
