Why is the Capstone Challenge a BTB challenge when 343 has acknowledged BTB is broken?

And before anyone says “OH BUT THERE’S TWO NON-BTB MAPS WITH VEHICLES”

Yeah, you can play an entire night of Quickplay and never get either of those because it’s completely random. The only way you’re going to do this challenge without going insane is in BTB, but the BTB playlist is completely broken and it could take you an hour to get a game IF you don’t get banned for being disconnected before that.

Everyone is away on holiday. They won’t fix things or change challenges etc until they return to work whenever that is

Not ideal but Fiesta is the best alternative.

I’ve actually had 3 games of BTB but only managed 2 splatters. I didn’t have a HUD in 2/3 of the games. BTB is terrible right now which is a shame as it’s my favourite game mode to play in the week.

I’ll try to get a few more over the weekend but if I can’t get it, I can’t get it.

You are definitely better off in fiesta, even if btb was working perfectly.

proably was set in stone for its rotation in and probably didnt have the issues btb has even thought of until it happened

I gave up on challenges since being unable to obtain that sniper coating the other week due to BTB challenges like turret, cube, and vehicle kills, etc. Sure, some are obtainable in quick play, with lots of RNG and going through matches without those things. Got tired of bans and wasting hours being disconnected, crashing, or stuck in loading screens.

We would be lucky to get even an apology for these last few weeks.

They also stated that BTB data would be “collected” over the next few weeks (as of Dec 17 listing) - so they expect us to go in, crash, freeze, not connect and the like - multiple times, even getting Auto-Banned an unable to enjoy any part of the game at all - so that they can GATHER This information to TRY to fix something about it.

Get rid of BTB-Slayer. First step to progression. (the whole reason people want BTB isn’t just to “kill other players” it’s OBJECTIVES like CTF, KotH, WITH VEHICLES)
Now, find out why:

  1. players get stuck in infinite loops trying to connect to games.
  2. players crash often while in this mode, usually after death and respawning (my own data) but at anytime is possible
  3. why AfK bots aren’t being kicked. (bots using mechanics to slightly move, etc) - and start banning them.
  4. Anti-Cheat needs to be the main focus once players can actually connect. There are way too many aim botters going on, especially during matches when visable lag is seen and felt, yet they get constant cross map HS.

This means they expect us, for several weeks, to suffer without any real compensation - to play-test their game for them, so they can collect data and attempt to fix it. This is a job. We are working a job, without pay or compensation. And they expect us to.

OH AND FOR THE LOVE OF JOHN disable the Auto-Ban system for BTB, Even if it means disabling it for every mode (because it seems to be a calculation on EVERY quit, even if your entire team quit or crashed in ranked, you are expected to just suffer a loss instead of ending it early and letting the enemy team win faster)

Don’t worry, it’s just a beta. All of that will be fixed when the full game is out in 10 years. Everyone just needs to be patient. 343 is a small indie dev team. They don’t have a lot of staff or money. It would be nice if they had a partnership with a big company like Microsoft, who could help them with these issues.

we can always dream i hope that one day 343 can have the backing of the biggest company in the world like Microsoft after all splitgate a very similar game has 12 developers with like zero budget was able to make a dam good game
