There are already so many feedback when in comes to fundamental requests, how is any of that going to be wrapped up in that short amount of time?
Star Craft legacy of the Void had months and even then after it’s launch there is always necessary balancing tweaks, user interface updates and changes.
there are obviously so many fundamental requests and demands at this point of the games development from the community many Halo Wars veterans, players new to Halo Wars (and RTS genre in general) and many with very intimate knowledge on RTS games playing the likes of Star Craft and Command & Conquer.
I really feel this game in particular, since it is HALO and also many banking on it to be THE console RTS, that would help usher a genre (like Halo really helped did for FPS on consoles) on to consoles that have predominately been the domain of PCs.
Give the console RTS community (though small but could potentially be huge) and Halo fans the chance to help build and assist in creating that special game.
Atleast we get a week outta it. there probably might be another Beta later on down the road for more testing. Either way we get to see the game and how it plays now, and report any bugs we find. Thus in turn the Devs can fix the issues we submitted and balance the game from the feedback we give em. Personally Console RTS’ never really makes a long run on consoles. At first there is alot of activity when released but people just start playing different games later on.

yes, but that is with individuals games, not a whole genre. A genre which I might add still has a lot to prove on consoles, not this is tepid approach, where it doesn’t seem to be take seriously and the way things are going now… Halo Wars is still being treated as the red headed step child of the series.
If Halo Wars 2 fails to have any significance it will probably be another 7 years until an RTS or Halo Wars 3 will be attempted.
What’s the point of a stop and start beta process.?
Star Craft which is 20 years old has to go through lengthy beta processes and lots of player feedback and the results is of course Star Craft (I don’t think I need to explain why the game is still so popular to this day and has a long run in offline and the competitive arena and quite frankly is a substantial template that ought to be studied)
